The Rossford Board of Education met in special session on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Bulldog Center, 719 Dixie Highway, Rossford, Ohio. President Brian Hughes called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. The following members answered roll call: Jackie Brown, Dawn Burks, Brian Hughes, Diane McKinney, and Ken Sutter.

Diane McKinney moved that the Rossford Board of Education approve the agenda as presented and adjusted for its special session of March 10, 2010. Dawn Burks seconded the motion. Upon roll call, all members voted yes and the President declared the motion carried.

Diane McKinney moved that the Rossford Board of Education move into executive session under Ohio Sunshine Law ORC Section 121.22 at 4:04 p.m. to discuss personnel employment. Dawn Burks seconded the motion. Upon roll, all members voted yes and the President declared the motion carried. Returned from executive session at 4:55 p.m.

Dawn Burks moved that the Rossford Board of Education approve the Assistant Athletic Director III / Sports Facility Information Manager job description. Diane McKinney seconded the motion. Upon roll call, Mrs. Brown voted no, Mrs. Burks voted yes, Mr. Hughes voted yes, Mrs. McKinney voted yes, and Mr. Sutter voted yes. The President declared the motion carried.

Diane McKinney moved that the Rossford Board of Education approve Martha Jewell as a classified substitute for the remainder of the 2009-2010 school year. Jackie Brown seconded the motion. Upon roll call, all members voted yes and the President declared the motion carried.

Jackie Brown moved that the Rossford Board of Education approve the “C” version of the school calendar for 2010-2011, with students starting August 25, 2010 and finishing June 6, 2011. Dawn Burks seconded the motion. Mrs. Brown left the meeting at 5:15 p.m., during discussion of the resolution and before the vote. Upon roll call, Mrs. Burks voted yes, Mr. Hughes voted no, Mrs. McKinney voted yes, and Mr. Sutter voted no. The President declared that the motion did not carry.
