ping out of cars and walking up the way to Hazel Simpson's residence at 2075 W. 29th place last Saturday night to attend a party honoring Leroy Broomfield of the famous Broomfield and Greeley dance team. The celebrated dance team made headlines in the late 20's and early 30 's when they reached the pinnacle of their career, which spans nearly fifty years of headlining top nightclubs all over the nation. Broomfield also produced many outstanding musicals, and his chorus lines were not only an array of beautiful girls but also teams of very talented dancers. In the golden days of Frank Cotton Club, Sabastian's Broomfield shows and musicals made the club one of the

The party attracted some seventy-five guests, who created a warm and delightful atmosphere of life-long friends renewing old acquaintances. Mamie Smith catered the beautiful affair, and she outdid herself with the assortment of chicken, barbecued

ribs and spirited champagne punch she prepared. Cocktails were poured in Mrs. Simpson's spacious rumpus room, and the e.x-show
