One Thing on Their MindsTM Hat for Newborns Crochet Instructions Choose ethnically appropriate nipple and skin colored yarn. Start: Make a slip knot on a “K” hook, secured with a square knot. Have a small snip of yarn ready, perhaps knotted at each end, for marking rows. Chain 2, turn. Row 1: 6 single crochet (sc) in the secured loop, making a small circle.
