A RESOLUTION

1

Commending Prophetess Dr. Juanita Bynum; and for other purposes.

2

WHEREAS, Prophetess Dr. Juanita Bynum is an internationally acclaimed Bible teacher,

3

prophet, psalmist, and media personality; and

4

WHEREAS, this founder and president of Juanita Bynum Ministries in Waycross, Georgia,

5

is the best selling author of My Spiritual Inheritance, Matters of the Heart, which sold

6

500,000 copies in less than a year, No More Sheets, and several other ground breaking books;

7

and

8

WHEREAS, as a gifted vocalist and entrepreneur, Dr. Bynum established an exciting new

9

venture, Flow Records, with the November 22, 2005, release of her newest worship CD, A

10

Piece of My Passion, which is a follow up to her previously recorded worship CD's, Morning

11

Glory I and Morning Glory II; and

12

WHEREAS, Dr. Bynum is the loving wife of Bishop Thomas Weeks III, who is the pastor

13

of Global Destiny Church, where she supports and assists her husband in ministry; and

14

WHEREAS, she is fueled by a passion to fulfill God's mandate for these turbulent times and

15

encourages character building by merging spirituality with everyday living provoking people

16

to pursue a life of integrity; and

17

WHEREAS, wherever she goes, Dr. Bynum exhorts and inspires her listeners to deepen their

18

intimacy with God and arise to their divine calling and destiny; and

19

WHEREAS, never afraid to deal with hard, relevant issues, she preaches in-your-face

20

messages that have drawn thousands of women and men to her crusades and events; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Bynum and Juanita Bynum Ministries are presenting The Threshing Floor

Revival April 5 through April 8, 2006, in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Georgia Dome, which is

3

sure to touch the lives of many Georgians; and

4

WHEREAS, Dr. Bynum is also a frequent radio and television guest, including serving as

5

a regular host of TBN's worldwide flagship program, PRAISE, which is viewed by more than

6

100 million people and for which she has been rated consistently among the top ten of any

7

host or guest on that network; and

8

WHEREAS, Dr. Bynum has been featured in magazines such as Essence and Ebony, and has

9

also appeared on the front cover of the leading Christian magazines, Charisma, Ministries

10

Today, and the Spirit Led Woman; and

11

WHEREAS, in early 2005, Dr. Bynum ministered in song to audiences across America as

12

a featured artist along with Yolanda Adams, Sheila E., and others as part of Southwest

13

Airlines' "Sisters in the Spirit" music tour; and

14

WHEREAS, in the midst of it all, Dr. Bynum has remained steadfast in her mission and her

15

commitment to fulfill God's mandate; and

16

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia and this entire nation has been very blessed with the

17

compassionate and inspiring spiritual leadership of Prophetess Dr. Juanita Bynum who has

18

touched countless lives with her kindness, devotion, and encouragement, and it is abundantly

19

fitting and proper for this body to honor her many outstanding contributions to the citizens

20

of this state.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that

22

the members of this body join in commending Prophetess Dr. Juanita Bynum for her

23

exemplary spiritual leadership to the citizens of this state and welcome The Threshing Floor

24

Revival to Atlanta, Georgia.

25

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized

26

and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Prophetess Dr. Juanita

27

Bynum.
