What is a parklet? ● ● ●

Parklets are mini parks Just like any other park, a parklet is a public space for sitting, reading, or relaxing The difference is that a parklet is so small it's not only the size of a parking spot, it is a parking spot.

At Lorain Better Block, parklets will be temporary and up for one day along Broadway in the existing parking space Image from Tiny House Fest Vermont

Parklets increase pedestrian traffic to businesses

Provide seating or a place for people to hang out

Extends the places for people on the sidewalk

Takes out existing parking
