While there are certain debit cards that can be used to verify PayPal, this method tends to be a hassle to implement. Humanatic has a solution. Introducing PayMaya, a free app that provides a Virtual Visa Card to verify your PayPal account. To verify your PayPal account using PayMaya, follow these steps:

Download PayMaya. •
Sign up using the same credentials as your PayPal account.

Click “Agree and Create My Account”.

Enter the mobile verification code sent to your phone, then tap “Verify mobile number”. Activate your reloadable Virtual Visa card.

Don’t add the card to PayPal until you’ve loaded at least 160 PHP onto your PayMaya account, using any of the LoadUp Centers available here. Otherwise, it won’t recognize the card as “real.” Humanatic suggests going to the nearest 7-Eleven because there are no transaction fees. •
Once at a 7-Eleven, look for Cliqq kiosk.

Tap e-Money, then PayMaya. Enter the amount you wish to load (160 PHP) and the mobile number you used to register on PayMaya. The machine will issue a receipt. Present it to the cashier with the 160 PHO in cash. Wait for the confirmation SMS before leaving the store. The total balance and history of the transaction will be reflected on the app.

Log in to your PayPal account and add your new Virtual Visa Card. • •

For the billing address, use the exact address you used in your PayMaya account.

Click “Profile,” then select “Add/Edit Credit Card”. Enter your PayMaya Virtual Visa card’s details. The expiration date is the value beside “Valid Thru,” and Card Verification Number is the 3 digit number beside CVV2.
Look for the 4-digit code that will be sent to your mobile number. Enter it into PayPal. Now, your PayMaya account will be charged ~150 PHP. You get this completely refunded to your account once the verification process is complete. This step is why you need the 160 PHP in your account.
You’re verified! You can now withdraw PayPal funds using your PayMaya Virtual Visa Card once you’ve earned your first $10.
