Practicum IV: Developing a Professional Development Plan Practicum IV: Action Steps A Journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. Start your Action Plan today! Think about the gap of where you are and where you would like to be. Think about an area that you would like to improve. List some steps to move yourself toward where you would like to be. For example you may want to attend a workshop on a particular topic, learn how to integrate technology into the classroom, volunteer at a community agency, learn about additional assessment tools, read a book on an area that you would like to learn more about or someday get your bachelors degree. You will need continuing education if you are working in a center. With a developed plan, you may have some control about what constitutes your continuing education. List some steps to move forward from where you are now towards where you’d like to be.
