Parking: Parking is available at the Center for Advanced Care garage located at the southwest corner of Dempster Street and Luther Lane and the main parking garage in front of the hospital. Free parking is also available at the North surface lot across from Dempster Street. Course Description: PFCCS is a major resource for those interested in learning how to recognize critical illness and initiate care for the critically ill pediatric patient. It will also serve as a valuable education tool for those entering the field of pediatric emergency medicine, pediatric critical care, and disaster response medicine. Objectives: • Provide care to critically ill children as first responders. • Utilize knowledge of pediatric critical care illness. • Demonstrate competency in intubation, mechanical ventilation, central venous line placement and acute management of shock.
Format: Lecture and interactive sessions. Target Audience: Pediatric Hospitalist, including emergency medicine physicians, nurses, transport teams and others who care for unstable, critically ill or injured pediatric patients. Accreditation Statement: Advocate Health Care is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Credit Designation: Advocate Health Care designates this live activity for a maximum of 13.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credits commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
