Abstract Oil and gas production in Indonesia especially in java island last few years conducted a large scale exploration, which is caused by energy crisis. One of the main unit in processing of oil and gas is a separator, which to separates hydrocarbon and water are described by phase (water, oil and gas). The process of separation in separator need a control system that allows to adjust the output of each phase to use in subsequent process. The problems is how to design a control system, for those requirement. Therefore, this final project is to design a control system of water level and flow rate of oil. The first step is mathematical model of three phase based on gravity method for water phase and thermodynamic method for oil phase. The mathematical model of two phase separator is based mass equilibrium. Have been successful performed a simulation of water level control system and oil flow rate with error steady is about 0-2%.
