This list of phonograms and key words is to show the sound or sounds for each phonogram pattern, demonstrated with key words. This list is for teacher reference. Students are to say the sound for each flashcard. If the phonogram can represent two or more sounds, students should say each sound, one after the other, pausing slightly between each sound to separate them clearly. The phonograms are shown in the order that they are taught in the phonogram booklets. Rearrange the cards as needed if you teach them in a different order. The ending consonant blends and beginning consonant blends are taught in the sequence shown. Those cards are in different files and must be downloaded separately. Note: The numbers on these cards do not match the numbers on the phonogram cards printed in LD Traditional Print . The cards in LD Traditional Print have two versions of any phonograms that contain the letter y. The cards printed with Century Schoolbook have only one card for each phonogram that contains the letter y.
