Cambridge Police Department to Dedicate Cambridge Police and 9/11 Memorial Stones as well as Hold an Open House on Saturday, September 11, 2010 August 23, 2010 – On Saturday, September 11th, Commissioner Robert C. Haas and the members of the Cambridge Police Department will hold a Dedication of the Cambridge Police and 9/11 Memorial Stones as well as an Open House of the Robert W. Healy Public Safety Facility. The Robert W. Healy Public Safety Facility will be open to the public for self-guided tours from 9:00am to 1:30pm. The dedication ceremony will begin at 2:00pm and will include remarks from City Manager Robert W. Healy and Commissioner Robert C. Haas. The memorial stones will honor the four Cambridge Police Officers who were killed in the line of duty as well as the twenty-three New York City Police Officers and thirty-seven Port Authority Police Officers who died in the collapse of the World Trade Center. Refreshments will be served and both the open house and dedication are open to the public.
