Launched in 2006, the American Public Health Association’s Get Ready campaign helps Americans prepare themselves, their families and their communities for all disasters and hazards, including flu, infectious disease, natural disasters and other emergencies. Visit our website for fact sheets, graphics and resources to share.
With fun photos and captions and tips for preparing for disasters, the Get Ready Calendar is one you’ll want to hang at your desk, post on your refrigerator and share with family and friends. Download and print more copies from our website now!
While the nation chooses presidents to guide us, let’s not forget that emergency preparedness is a team effort requiring the whole family to get involved — and that includes the many first ladies who shared the White House.
The theme for this year’s annual Get Ready calendar, presidents of the United States, serves as a preparedness time capsule to help you prepare for disasters. After all, who better to help us get ready for emergencies than those who’ve helped prepare the nation for centuries?
PREPAREDNESS IS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
PRESIDENT WOODROW WILSON

This is my preparedness face. What’s yours?
Emergency preparedness is important, yet many people are not ready for disasters. Luckily, you have this calendar and APHA’s Get Ready campaign to help guide you with your emergency preparedness plans for the year. www.aphagetready.org
