Never let me be parted from you. From the evil enemy protect me. At the hour of my death, call me. And tell me to come to you. That with your saints I may praise you. Through all eternity. Amen.
Prayer for Vocations God our Father open the hearts of your sons and daughters to give themselves to the service of the Church. We pray that they may generously have the courage to hear your call. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit grant them the generosity to listen to your voice with faith, courage, and humility. Your Son Jesus Christ continuously inspires faithful servants to the Gospel, dedicated holy priests, sisters, brothers and deacons who give themselves to the service of the people of God. Confident that you will not leave your Church orphaned, the Church of Lubbock prays that you will open the hearts of men and women to give themselves fervently to the service of the Church, so that they may be witnesses the saving power of Jesus Christ who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
Prayer for Seminarians Loving Father, you call all who believe in you to grow perfect in love by following in the footsteps of Christ your Son. Please call more men who will faithfully serve you as priests for the Diocese of Lubbock. May they provide a convincing sign of your kingdom for the church and for the world. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Prayer to Follow Christ’s Call Lord, I thank you for the gifts you have given me, especially for life, love, family, and friends. Help me to know myself better and to know my talents, as I pray, study and decide on my life’s work. Help me to see and understand the path you open for me. Help me choose a life’s work, which will be in response to my potential and your love for me. If I am being invited to follow you as a priest give me a generous heart to respond to your challenging call and the strength to follow you wherever you lead me. Amen.
Evening Examination of Conscience O my God, at the end of this day I thank You most heartily for all the graces I have received from You. I am sorry that I have not made a better use of them. I am sorry for all the sins I have committed against You. Forgive me, O my God, and graciously protect me this night. Blessed Virgin Mary, my dear heavenly mother, take me under your protection. St. Joseph, my dear Guardian Angel, and all you saints of God, pray for me. Sweet Jesus, have pity on all poor sinners, and save them from hell. Have mercy on the suffering souls in purgatory. Amen.
