Presentation Title: Operational Excellence by TOC Armed IE OMRON Healthcare is known around the world for its consumer oriented medical devices, such as blood pressure monitors and thermometers, and its factories have been showcased as success stories for TPS. In this presentation, Mr. Kitabayashi will show how OMRON Healthcare is reaching new heights of performance with TOC. This presentation explains how OMRON Dalian has:
Increased production capacity up to 60% within 6 days by focusing CCR. Reduced 42% of inventory by reducing replenishment lead time from the parts suppliers all the way through to the retailers Improved their kanban system with dynamic buffer management Turned what was considered an impossible schedule for launching new products to meeting its original plan by “choking” project releases
Mr. Kitabayashi will also discuss how OMRON Healthcare used TOC to manage in the aftermath of the recent earthquake in Japan. This presentation will be valuable for individuals at any level in their organization, at any level of TOC expertise (novice through advanced).
Atsushi Kitabayashi, Vice President of Omron Dalian Factory. Joined Omron health care 1990, and managed engineering field such as R&D and process engineering for consumer health care products. In 2003, he joined Omron Dalian factory and headed production engineering and QA in factory. He started IE KAIZEN and achieved 30% productivity improvement. In 2006, he promoted DNPS (Dalian New Production System) and successfully introduced Kanban into factory operation. Their activities were evaluated high, and published in the Nikkei Business magazine in 2007. In 2010, he met Yuji Kishira since then, he is promoting TOC among entire Omron health care within manufacturing field.
