Minden NV- The Emergency Operations Center has been working overnight in Douglas County, coordinating resources on storm recovery during a partial lull in the storm. The Carson Valley area is still under flood warning. Upon daylight, damage assessment teams have been deployed to various reported damage areas to determine the impact of the storm and necessary clean-up. Officials are being advised the West Fork River is expected to recede below the banks. There was a crest in the East Fork last night and is now below flood stage. In the past 24 hours, Douglas County is working on re-opening roads and clearing debris. Last night’s evacuees are expected to return home later in the day. Many non-emergency Douglas County personnel have been encouraged to stay home on Monday, but many more have been assigned duties to assist with recovery efforts.
