On Monday, October 31, 2016 at 5:52 p.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the Sears Department Store adjacent to The Shops at Tanforan regarding the report of a subject stealing items from the store. A subsequent investigation revealed that suspect in this case, twenty–six year old San Francisco resident Kenneth Jenkins, had stolen a vehicle in San Francisco and driven it to the Tanforan Mall to commit the theft at Sears. The stolen vehicle was returned to the registered owner and the property stolen from Sears was also returned. Jenkins was arrested and booked at the San Mateo County Jail for charges related to theft, vehicle theft, the possession of burglary tools, and committing a felony while released on bail Anyone with information related to this crime is encouraged to call the San Bruno Police Department at (650) 616-7100.
