Press Release Prepared by: Sergeant Kevin McMullan On Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at approximately 7:58 a.m., an observant resident reported a subject loitering in and around a vehicle on the 800 block of Huntington Avenue in San Bruno. A short time later, the owner of the same the vehicle reported the car stolen from the 1200 block of El Camino Real. A subsequent investigation revealed that twenty year old San Bruno John Michael Anthony Demetrescu had stolen the vehicle. Demetrescu was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for charges related to vehicle theft and the possession of burglary tools. The San Bruno Police Department’s Investigative Services Section is investigating this case.
