On Friday, March 10, 2017, at approximately 5:40 a.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the 2100 block of Crestmoor Drive regarding the report of a robbery of a store. Officers learned that a male suspect ordered a store employee to provide him with currency from a cash register. The suspect fled the scene and was not located. On the same date, at approximately 2:18 p.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the 2900 hundred block of San Bruno Avenue regarding the attempted armed robbery of another store. In this instance, the suspect entered the store and purchased items. When the clerk opened the register to complete the transaction, the suspect simulated a weapon and demanded money from the cash register. Additional customers entered the store at this time, which caused the subject to flee without the currency he had demanded. . On Saturday, March 11, 2017, at approximately 2:31 a.m., Pacifica Police Officers contacted thirty-six year old Daly City resident Joel Terrell at the scene of a reported disturbance in their city. Officers from the San Bruno Police Department responded to the scene to initiate an investigation regarding the aforementioned crimes. As a result of this investigation, Terrell was arrested by San Bruno Police Officers for the robbery and attempted robbery that had occurred on March 10, 2017. Terrell was also identified as being involved in another robbery and attempted robbery on March 10, 2017, in two neighboring cities. He was subsequently booked into the San Mateo County Jail on two counts of robbery and two counts of attempted robbery.
