On Friday, March 23, 2018, at approximately 7:04 a.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the report of a traffic collision on the 1100 block of Bayhill Drive in San Bruno. A subsequent investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle that caused the collision had been driving while under the influence of methamphetamine. Additionally, the driver, identified as thirty-four year old Daly City resident Rudis Hernandez-Acosta, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, a fraudulent Social Security Card containing the Social Security Number belonging to another subject, and fraudulent pieces of identification. Hernandez-Acosta was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for charges related to driving under the influence, identity theft, possession of methamphetamine, and the possession of fraudulent identification.
