Prince Among Slaves Film Screening and Discussion University City Public Library, in collaboration with Interfaith Partnership of Greater St. Louis, will host a screening and discussion of the film Prince among Slaves, the remarkable true story of an African prince who endured the humiliation of slavery without ever losing his dignity or hope for freedom and while maintaining his deep Muslim faith. This event is free and open to the public. WHEN: Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 7:00pm WHERE: University City Public Library auditorium, 2nd floor 6701 Delmar Blvd., University City, MO 63130 University City Public Library is one of 840 libraries and state humanities councils nationwide receiving the Bookshelf and hosting programs for public audiences featuring the materials. The program aims to familiarize public audiences in the United States with the people, places, history, faith and cultures of Muslims in the United States and around the world.
