Bridge the Gap

- Our current education system combined with the pattern of parenting, focuses on ‘consumption-based upbringing’ as a consequence of which, integrated individual development, issues of social responsibility and participative citizenship have taken a back seat. Against this backdrop, Swechha designed Bridge the Gap (BTG) - a unique curriculum that aims at narrowing the increasing gap between the children and the realities of the world around them. The curriculum aims at enabling young people to strike a connection with and between the natural world and the man-made world by equipping them with the necessary outlook and skills needed to make the connection. 25

They were asked to imagine the world as it would be 100 years later and represent it with a drawing. At the end of the session, BTG was introduced to them. Session 2 - Identity The session explored individual and social identity through a game. The discussion helped the children realise the different dimensions of our identity and encouraged them to question traditional and popular notions. Session 3 - Identity and Livelihood The session used a thought-provoking video about the lives of ragpicking children to help them understand identities and their relationship with livelihoods. .A letter-writing activity was also used for nurturing empathy and building an appropriate perspective about the lives of others in society.

Class Assemblies

A kaleidoscopic variety of activities were undertaken by the staff and students of MSVV during the year. They were aimed at fostering individual excellence as well as a spirit of bonhomie amongst different houses and teams with a view to fulfilling the dream of our founder, Lala Raghubir Singh. This journey has been filled with challenges, hopes and success. What stands out in our students is a fine synthesis of zestfulness and striving for perfection. I take this opportunity to express my deep appreciation for the members of the teaching staff, the coaches, the administrative staff as well as the support staff, for their sense of commitment, devotion and dedication to the Institution. With these words, I bid adieu to all of you, my dear students, parents and teachers! I wish you a merry Christmas and after the New Year is born in the mist of January, let us join hands to attain new heights! Thank you.
