Process Theory in Individualized Application (Reality is a game) I. A. Reality is a game, as the concept ‘game’ is understood in game theory. [1] B. Reality is simultaneously: 1. an ω, which is an element of the set ‘Totality’ [2] 2. the sequence of unique Universes we are a part of and operate within, where Universe is understood as an instance iteration of ω [3] C. It is of one of two cases: 1. Case 1) It is a ‘dive’, in which a Soul experiences full immersion of the game, mediated by an avatar. 2. Case 2) It is a ‘vicar’, in which a Soul experiences the game secondhand, ciphered through limited controls over an avatar. II. A. The following are True regardless of which Case is the actual Case: 1. It is impossible to know with absolute certainty, *respecting certain possibilities, whether an individual is a vessel piloted by a Soul or simply an automaton under the illusion of free will and thought. 2. Thus, it follows that it is impossible to know with certainty whether an individual will exist objectively beyond the parameters of the game or if upon death in this game their death is as permanent as befits the demands of the game.
3. *The certain possibilities aforementioned involve hypothetical instances of receiving/determining information that would be impossible to possess and come to know, unless and only unless, the information comes from an Observer outside the parameters of the game. 4. Base stats, bonuses (racial, chance, any others that are affected by avatar design settings, ex: sex, genetics), base skills, skill preferences, class preferences, difficulty setting, and possibly handicaps are determined a priori . 5. Permadeath is a general condition applied to all avatars and that is capable of being overcome. a. Multiple playthroughs are allowed, as evidenced by the concept of reincarnation and the ability to do so in many existing videogames. b. Death of the avatar is the completion of the process/actual entity that was that avatar, which results in it serving as datum for future processes/actual entities, and as an eternal object. c. This is secondary reinforcement of the concept of multiple playthroughs, though it is reincarnation of a different kind, in which a particular avatar is capable of being revived as an actual entity, as compared to a Soul inhabiting a new vessel. B. This game is procedurally generated and has criteria for unlocking expansions to gameplay. C. Procedural generation is the algorithmic framing of Process and Concrescence, meaning the game that is this Reality is a process/actual entity, which means it is in a state of Becoming. 1. It logically follows that the elements and information content of this game are also described by Process theory.
III. A. If Case 1 is Truth, then the subsequent statements follow out of necessity, that is, they must be the case and are inherently true: 1. The individual, prior to being incorporated as this avatar, chose to play this game. 2. Upon choosing to play, they agreed to the terms, conditions, and rules of the game. 3. They were given some number of choices as to a starting character and chose from the pool of candidates or alternatively submitted a character layout and waited for the character to naturally come into existence within the game a. The determination of which option is the actual case is within what is described in II. A. 3. 4. Either the Soul inhabits the avatar in micro , and as such is filtered through a limiter on what can be expressed and utilized via the brain/cognition engine or a portion of the Soul is shunted into the avatar and the extension of the Soul into the avatar is occluded in order for it to manage the avatar under the rules of the game a. The determination of which is option is the actual case is within what is described in II. A. 3. b. If the Soul inhabits the avatar in micro , then this can be expressed mathematically as an object (Soul) of some arbitrary dimensionality impinging upon an object that is at least one less than the dimensionality of the Soul 5. Death of the avatar’s vessels and extensions does not equate to death of the Soul, and the experiences undergone are kept/remembered by the Soul. There is a distinction between the avatar’s Self (which is the player, a.k.a Soul) and the avatar’s corporeal form. B. If Case 2 is Truth, then the subsequent statements follow out of necessity, that is, they must be the case and are inherently true:
1. The individual is a vehicle of interaction for a player, and as such possessed no agency over the conditions of their birth. 2. The avatar is intrinsically limited to its form, and thus to whatever cognition engine/brain it currently utilizes 3. Death of the avatar’s vessels and extensions equates to (near)permanent cessation of the avatar’s conscious existence.
