SUPPLIED LENGTHS (EVRAZ ZSMK): Exact length (m): 9.0; 9.5; 10.0; 10.5; 11.0; 11.5; 12.0 m (± 50 mm). Random lengths: 4.0 to 12 m. Rails are shipped both as single pieces and in bundles strapped crosswise by steel straps or wire. SUPPLIED LENGTHS (EVRAZ DMZ PETROVSKOGO): Exact length (m): 9.0; 9.5; 10.0; 10.5; 11.0; 11.5; 12.0 m. Length tolerance ± 50 mm (± 100 mm subject to agreement with the customer) Random lengths: 4.0 to 12 m. The random lengths may be up to 20% of a shipment. SHEET PILES

Sheet piles are produced at the H-beam mill of EVRAZ NTMK and the heavy section mill of EVRAZ Vitkovice Steel. EVRAZ group manufactures the most widely used type of piles: sheet piles with Larssen-type locks. The piles are transported by railway and trucks. The piles are sup­ plied in a range of lengths from 6 to 24 m; any shorter lengths can be supplied upon agreement. The piles are bundled for crane lifting.

Sheet piles are manufactured from weldable steel, enabled by the steel’s chemical composition with limited carbon equivalent that is not to exceed 0.45%.

EVRAZ Nizhniy Tagil Metallurgical Plant

EVRAZ Nizhniy Tagil Metallurgical Plant is situated in the MidUrals in Nizhniy Tagil, which is the second largest city by popula­ tion and industrial production volume in the Sverdlovsk region. EVRAZ NTMK operates a complete metallurgical production cycle. The blast furnace plant is equipped with two blast furnaces (BF5 and BF6) which manufacture 2,370 and 2,440 thousand tpa respectively. Steel is produced at the Basic Oxygen Shop with an annual production of 4,480 thousand tpa. Steel is produced from vana­ dium hot metal by a duplex process that includes the production of market vanadium slag during the first process stage. Rolling is performed at seven hot rolling mills producing a wide range of profiles: a rail and beam mill “800”, equipped with a rail heat treat­ ment facility and producing rails, track shoes for excavators and tractors, channels, pipe shells, profiles for railway car manufacturing (axle blanks, Z-profile, special channels), etc.; heavy section mill “650”, producing channels, angles, I-beams, round products, mine props and railcar uprights, R33 rails, pan sideframes, etc.; universal beam mill “1300”, producing H beams, sheet pile, square billet, pipe shell; wheel mill: locomotive and railway car; wheels including, wheels produced according to foreign stan­ dards, locomotive wheel centers, wheel blanks; tire mill: railway wheel tires, machine building rings; ball mill SPSh-80 and SPSh-120: grinding balls, diameter from 40 to 120 mm.

“Nizhnesaldinsky Steelmaking Plant” (NSMZ) has been a branch of EVRAZ NTMK since 2005. NSMZ is situated 54 km from Nizhniy Tagil on the eastern slope of the Mid-Urals in the Sverdlovsk region of Russia. NSMZ specializes in the manufacturing of rail fastenings and is one of the major suppliers of baseplates for sepa­ rate and spike fastenings, as well as of the PK-type clamps to the Russian market and CIS countries.

EVRAZ Consolidated West Siberian Metallurgical Plant

EVRAZ ZSMK is located in Novokuznetsk and is one of the larg­ est steel manufacturers in Siberia. Since July 1, 2011 ZSMK and NKMK have merged into EVRAZ Consolidated West Sibe­ rian Metallurgical Plant. EVRAZ ZSMK includes the structural steel rolling facility and the rail rolling facility which make it the integrated steelmaking company. It provides complete metal­ lurgical production cycle. The blast furnace plant comprises three blast furnaces with a total usable volume of 8,000 m3. The total volume of blast furnaces #1 and 3 is 3,000 m3, and that of blast furnace #2 — 2,000 m3. Each blast furnace is equipped with four stoves. The steelmaking plant of the structural steel facility com­ prises two blast oxygen plants, five converters (three converters of 160 t and two converters of 350 t), a billet, slab casters and an ingot teeming plant. The rolling plant of the structural steel facility comprises: a breakdown mill “1250” (square bars, slabs); a continuous bar mill (square bars); a wire mill “250-1” (wire rod, rebars, round bars); two light section mills: – “250-1” (rebars, round bars, angles); – “250-2” (rebars, round bars); a medium section mill “450” (pit props SVP-type, I-beams, channels, monorail beams, angles, round bars, square bars 60 x 60, rebars); steel rolling plant (SPrP) — wire, electrodes, nails and etc.

The rated capacity of the steelmaking plant of the rail rolling facility totals 1.5 mln/tpa of steel. Steel is produced in two elec­ tric arc furnaces with a rated volume of 100 t. Ladle furnaces and a VOD degasser are used for secondary metallurgy. The rolling operation of the rail rolling plant is represented by the rail and beam plant, the plate plant, and the long product plant: the rail and beam plant manufactures rails and rail sections, bars and shapes); the plate plant manufactures plates with gauges of 5 to 25 mm, widths 1000 to 1800 mm, lengths 3000 to 6000 mm); the long product plant comprises mill “450” (round bars, ball blanks, plowshare bars, counter angle and etc.); the rail fastenings plant manufactures clamps, fishplates, stirrup stops and etc; ball mills № 1 and 2 (the grinding balls of various diameters).

ЕVRAZ DMZ Petrovskogo

ЕVRAZ DMZ Petrovskogo is located in Ukraine, Dnepropetrovsk. The plant operates a complete metallurgical production cycle; two blast furnace plants with a total volume of 1733 m3 (BF #2 — 700 m3, BF #3 — 1033 m3) and a rated plant capacity of 1795 K tpa (hot metal), whilst the steelmaking operation takes place in a blast oxygen shop. The steel plant comprises three converters of 50 m3 with a rated plant capacity of 1230 K tpa of steel. The plant equipment enables treatment of liquid steel with liquid synthetic slags, and allows manufacturing through up to 63 heats per 24 hours. The plant is able to manufacture commercial quality carbon steels, structural, low alloy and alloy steel grades, and rolling operations are represented by two plants which comprise: Mill “800”, which works on the same process flow as Break­ down Mill “1050” . Manufactured products comprise: seamless pipe blanks and square bars, blooms, crane, tram and mine rails, I-beams type 22S, lining bars for drum-type coal mills and ore-pulverizing mills, round products for grinding media, mining section SVP-type and etc.; Medium section Mill «550», which manufactures tailor-made products such as special flats for automobile wheel rims, pit props, current-collecting rails for underground lines. Mill “550” also manufactures products for general application (parallel flange channels № 8P–30P, channels U and UPE under the European standards; equal angles № 70–125).
