The Makita 9227CB isn’t the preferred rotary sander/polisher for Aerospace cleaning professionals by accident. It’s robust make-up, bow-handle design and variable speed control make it suitable for a host of applications, from heavy-duty and frequent use in sanding/restoring brightwork, to lighter polishing applications such as removal of oxidation or simple buffing of painted surfaces. It’s small enough to be lightweight and portable, yet powerful enough for professional use at the highest level. It’s quick-release head system means you can turn if from a polisher to a sander and back again in just seconds, minimising delays to your working processes. The Makita 9227CB offers the user incredible flexibility. With the standard 180mm flex plate attached this machine can be used as a top-end rotary polisher, allowing the user total control in detailed polishing and compounding applications. With the 165mm flex plate attached, this machine can be used with Abralon® and/or MicroMesh® sanding discs and Kangaroo® (metal lubrication) Oil, allowing the user to safely and accurately prepare metal surfaces, removing only microscopic amounts of metal before undertaking polishing.
