PRODUCT MANAGER - TOY DEVELOPMENT MEET TECH WILL SAVE US Technology Will Save Us is on a mission to spark the creative imagination of young people using hands-on technology. We create award winning make-it-yourself kits and digital tools that help kids all over the world to make, play, code and invent using technology. We started in 2012, packing kits around a kitchen table, and have now sold over 60,000 kits in 97 countries. Our most recent product launches include the BBC Micro:bit that we designed in partnership with ARM, Microsoft, Samsung and the BBC and was given to 1M, 12 year olds in the UK this year and is now available for sale on our website. We also launched the new Mover Kit, the 1st educational wearable that kids make and code which was launched on Kickstarter and had over 1800 backers in 87 countries and was funded in the first 2 days! Our East London Mini factory houses a team of 26 content creators, product specialists, sales gurus, production experts, educators, engineers, designers and developers. We’re passionately building the most accessible and entertaining brand for the creator generation.

ABOUT YOU We’re looking for an experienced and passionate individual to take responsibility for developing and delivering our range of DIY Gadget Kits. You’ll have 3-5 years experience developing toys and/or consumer electronics with hands-on experience successfully bringing your products to market. You’ll have great communication skills and thrive on working collaboratively within a product development team to identify customer needs, design exceptional experiences and ensure the product can be produced at scale and sold through a wide range of channels. Your planning skills will be second to none and will and used to help ensure the successful development of new kits that are delivered on time and on budget. THE ROLE This exciting role provides the opportunity to drive the development and lifecycle management of our award-winning range of kits. Specifically: - Use the TWSU product development process to deliver new products that meet and exceed business and customer needs - Drive the research to ensure products are developed in line with customer needs and business objectives - Keen commercial eye to deliver products at target margins and generate ongoing improvements/optimisation over the life of the product - Effectively manage key stakeholders from across the business to build consensus and gather and prioritise requirements

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS - 5 years’ experience in a product management role - High attention to detail and ability to document accordingly - Excellence in planning and reporting on development activities - Able to deliver products with certifications such as CE and CPSC - Experience with design and production timelines for electronics, plastics and packaging.
