Profile 2012-2013 SCHOOL DESCRIPTION Trinity is a college preparatory, coed independent day school founded in 1709, grades K-12. Admission is selective and financial aid is given. Trinity is no longer sponsored by a specific religious body, and the Trinity community is characterized by religious, racial and ethnic diversity. The senior class is comprised of 110 students, 24 % of whom receive financial aid through the school. The year includes two semesters of approximately 18 weeks. All students take a college preparatory program. GRADING AND CLASS RANK Our grading system is A+ through F with grades of A- and higber designated as Honors grades. Our lowest passing grade is D-. Trinity does not rank its students or compute a grade point average. The use of rank or quintile [or a group of pre-selected students is thought to be statistically invalid and incomplete. In the spring, a rank is determined for Cum Laude Society eligibility. THE CURRICULUM SUBJECT
