IAP2 Cascade Chapter 2016 PI Works! Public Involvement Best Practice Awards Entry Guidelines The PI Best Practice Awards recognize projects in Oregon and Southwest Washington that promote meaningful and innovative opportunities for community engagement. The IAP2 Core Values provide the basis for evaluating award nominations. The proposer should demonstrate which of the Core Values are applicable and why. Only one entry per category will be accepted. Award nominations are open to anyone engaged in public involvement work (public involvement practitioners, project managers, agency staff, etc.), both public and private. Projects must be in the public realm (planning, construction or policy making) and must have been substantially completed after January 2014 and before March 2016. Format and Deadline Entries in all award categories are due by May 6, 2016 and are required to use the following guidelines: • • • •

Entries must be no longer than two, double-sided, 8 ½ in x 11 in pages (four pages total). Case Study Summary table as the cover page (each row should not exceed 250 words). Including project photos, graphics or web links is encouraged (included in page limit). Number pages and note the project sponsor and title in a header or footer.

How did the project spread the practice of public involvement into a new area?
