29 September 2014 Preface The convoy "pulse of life 1st" launched in March, 2013 to be the first brick in the joint humanitarian and relief action for the directories working in relief and developing the Syrian people. It was then about ten of Arab directories and it was the core and the first beginning. The Convoys of "pulse of life" have continued for the whole year to reach on the threshold of the fourth convoy. It has more than 30 institutions and directories of Arab, Islamic, and foreign as partners for the convoy. Besides, 40 local partners approx. inside Syria according to the professional standards ensuring fair distribution and continuity of generosity.
Why "Pulse of Life 4"? The convoy "Pulse of Life 4th" will be at the time when the Syrian people suffer from harsh exceptional circumstances never face them at all. The length of humanitarian crisis which exceeded 3 years where Syrian people have been mostly deprived of a complete absence of basic services of ,electricity and water, in its cities and villages, as well as Syrian human's lack to lower basic needs of food and the minimum ingredients of life's safety and health, that have been done in atmospheres of constant bombardment and genocide which targeted civilians with various types of weapons are banned internationally such as barrel bombs , rockets , and artillery shells , which destroy all the aspects of life.
The Convoy Aims - To break the international silence towards renewed genocides happening in Syria against civilians. -To Contribute in alleviate the Syrian people's suffering by the presence of popular, Arabic, Islamic, universal, and encouraging effort.
-Stimulate the humanitarian efforts in launching similar convoys. -Create an environment for coordination and consultation among working actors in relief and those in humanitarian field for Syrian people. -Start applying the transition concept from relief to development one through implementing and adopting of developments projects and ideas in the Syrian inside. -To fulfill the needs of part of the Syrian provinces and rural areas with relief items.
Convoy Activities -A promotional, artistic and oratorical festival in support of the convoy will be held in Doha, the capital of Qatar. - A press conference to launch the convoy from Istanbul in attending of universal and Arab figures to support the Syrian people (15 July 2014, Istanbul). - A press conference in the border areas for talking about the convoy's details in the presence of the convoy's participating delegations (29 September 2014, Reyhanli). -Field visits to some projects and camps in southern areas of Turkey and Syrian north which are adjacent to the border (30 September 2014). -Workshops to enhance cooperation and coordination among the participating actors in the convoy, opening new horizons for joint action during the coming period (29-30 September 2014). How can you participate in the convoy? Any charity directory or development institution or humanitarian initiative has the right to participating in the convoy within the following categories: -Platinum participants: the amount of in-kind and material contribution is worth for half million dollars ($500.000) or more. - Golden Participants: the amount of in-kind and material contribution is worth for quarter million dollars and less than half a million dollars ($ 250.000-$500.000). - Silver participants: the amount of in-kind and material contribution is worth for $100.000 and less than $ 250.000. - Bronze participants: the amount of in-kind and material contributions is less than $ 100.000
