PUMP AND ROTATING EQUIPMENT REPAIR SHOP SUPERVISOR Unico Mechanical has an 85,000-square-foot machine shop and fabrication facility, which includes a pump and rotating equipment repair shop. The facility serves the needs of industrial clients including oil refineries, chemical plants, power and water providers, as well as a wide variety of manufactures. This Pump and Repair Shop Supervisor oversees and directs the activities of all personnel associated with servicing and repairing API engineered rotating equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, overhung, inline, screw, positive displacement and multi-stage pumps, plus turbines, blowers and various types of gearboxes. Along with meeting budgets, end dates and company standards for quality, the position places customer service and safety as the highest priorities. The Supervisor works collaboratively with and/or is supported by the Machine Shop Manager, Customer Account Managers, Parts Procurement Staff, General Manager, and other key Unico management personnel. Specific Duties, Activities and Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To: • • • • • •

Supervises the disassemble, clean and inspection (DCI) process of equipment be repaired Affirms dimensional checks to assure their accuracy Performs root cause analysis and recommends repairs Creates the work scope and tasks for repair staff based on “as found” information Creates budgets considering labor, material costs and sub-contract work Communicates to customer account managers and directly with customers (as needed) to gain approval of work scopes including change orders due to discoveries and discrepancies Meets or exceeds project end dates Provides customer progress reports at agreed time intervals/milestones Maintains written progress reports (daily night notes) of ongoing equipment repairs Provides an accurate, detail turn over to the on-coming night shift supervisor

Provides the machine shop manager with daily updates of all equipment being worked Plans, schedules and assigns work Works with procurement to verify material orders for specific jobs and confirms promise date of arrival Upon receipt of material, quality checks parts and material to ensure they are acceptable and accurate Provides training of shop personnel in the repair and assembly of rotating equipment Maintains a safe work place and is responsible for housekeeping, shop cleanliness and orderliness, and reports unsafe conditions Advises Customer Account Managers through emails as to the status of projects: update project status, on budget, target end dates Handles all visits by customers who may come to monitor their equipment repairs Provides quarterly employee evaluations Ensures employees are in compliance with company policies written in the company Employee Hand Book Performs other duties as required. Position Requirements/Skills:

Education / Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GDE) Preferred five years’ experience as a pump shop service technician and five years’ experience in the oilfield industry and/or Bachelor’s degree in engineering and five years of related industry experience Management/supervisor experience Excellent communication skills - written and verbal Computer literate Comprehensive knowledge of rotating equipment repair Knowledge of quality assurance programs, specifically ISO 9001 Inspirational and motivating leader Positive attitude
