Reach Trucks ETM/ETV 320/325. 2000/2500 kg capacity.

Advantage: 1000 kg to over 12,000 mm lift height. Maximum performance for maximum heights.

The premium specification Jungheinrich Reach Truck series is the ETM/ETV 320/ 325. Highest mast rigidity, an extremely strong chassis and large diameter wheels allow the Reach Trucks in Range 3 to lift 1000 kg loads to a lift height of over 12,000 mm. Comparing counterbalance trucks and reach trucks Practical values show very clearly: Jungheinrich reach trucks I can operate at higher lift heights due to higher residual capacities. I increase the possible number of racking levels. I reduce the required working aisle width. I reduce the required space per pallet at all racking levels. I save up to 60 % of storage area compared with counterbalance trucks.

Advantage: All motors in 3-phase AC technology. Drive productivity up and operating costs down.

Tried and tested 3-phase AC technology 3-phase AC current is a type of alternating current from the regular mains supply – a million times tried and tested in all industry sectors. 3-phase AC motors are advantageous due to a reduced number of components and wearing parts. They therefore are considerably more productive, reliable and cost-effective. The problem until the beginning of the 90’s was that batteries for electric trucks only supplied direct current.

Jungheinrich prepared electric trucks “ready for 3-phase AC current” With high-capacity frequency converters, Jungheinrich was able to cost-effectively convert direct current into alternating current at the beginning of the 90’s and thus utilise the advantages of 3-phase AC current in electric trucks. The omission of collector and carbon brushes, the increase in efficiency and the improvement of truck performance for reach trucks maximises the application options with considerably reduced operating costs. Jungheinrich trucks in all categories are now equipped with 3-phase AC motors.

3-phase AC advantage 1: More productivity and more torque High torque already at lower revs, no torque gaps and no speed drops even during direction changes giving excellent throughput figures. Your benefit is considerably faster goods throughput compared with direct current.

3-phase AC advantage 2: High efficiency ratio and energy reclamation Does more productivity also mean more consumption? Not at Jungheinrich! Through high efficiency and regenerative braking during which up to 20 % energy is fed back into the battery, the trucks can achieve up to 2 shifts with one battery charge. Your benefit is that is in many cases there is no need for a large charging area or exchange batteries. Pump motor

3-phase AC advantage 3: Wear-free braking 3-phase AC technology ensures the same high torque during acceleration as during braking. The result is that the truck speed is precisely controlled by the acceleration pedal. Ideal for precise positioning, rapid acceleration and travelling on ramps at constant speed. An additional brake is not required. The maintenancefree electro magnetic brake only serves as a safety brake for dangerous moments. Your benefits: 1. There is no need for the driver to constantly switch from acceleration to brake pedal. 2. With electric motor braking, wear on the brake and maintenance costs are reduced which could otherwise become a significant part of the total maintenance costs.

5

Advantage: Perfect ergonomics. High productivity effortlessly undertaken.

Sit better – work better I Comfortable entry and exit with side mounted handle and lowered foot step I Plenty of legroom with electric steering and no steering column I Horizontally and vertically adjustable steering wheel I Adjustable armrest I Excellent all round visibility through lowered dashboard, panorama mast with intelligent hose installation and new design overhead load guard I Pedal arranged as in a car I Plenty of storage facilities I No unintentional roll back due to automatic activation of parking brake after the deadman switch is released I Extremely low noise operating

Operator protection according to EU standard For the protection of operators, the EU has passed the user regulation “2002/44/ EU Vibration”. In this regulation, the EU prescribes the total volume of “vibrations” per day that an operator can be subjected to at his workplace.

2. On request, with qualified vibration metering on site carried out by Jungheinrich Service. They meter the application and – in case of the level being too high – recommend measures that allow the user to further reduce the vibration stress on his operators.

The responsibility for adhering to this regulation lies solely with the user. Jungheinrich supports its customers with this strongly in mind. And this support is two-fold: 1. With an already vibration-optimised stacker design that guarantees increased productivity without exceeding the required limit even during long operating times.

Wide adjustment range ensures all-round relaxed operation with minimum vibrations. Up to 2/3 of total vibrations are dampened.

Speed at the push of a button Simple, safe and fast at the push of a button: central positioning of sideshift and horizontal positioning of forks (both optional). Reducing cycle times whilst positioning the load.

Operator display The Jungheinrich operator display combines many functions in one. Single function keys, 11 control lamps and LC display provide the operator with all control and access possibilities for operational conditions or productivity parameters. Residual running time The residual battery running time display shows the time in hours and minutes when the battery will have to be recharged. The lift function is automatically deactivated when the last bar goes out; the functions “travel” and “mast reach” required for battery changing go on working. This significantly reduces the danger of a damaging total discharge.

Key to operator display: 1 Selected steering (180°/360°) 2 Wheel position/travel direction 3 Battery charge condition/clock with energy feed-back and time display (can be switched to residual running time) 4 Three pre-set travel programmes with display of set travel/lift speed 5 Operating hours optional: lift height and weight display 6 Crawl speed 7 Parking brake 8 Switch-over operating hours/time/ residual running time display 9 Travel programme selection 10 Warning lights 11 Central positioning of sideshift (optional) 12 Horizontal positioning of forks (optional)

Individually selectable travel programmes Travel programmes for different speeds and acceleration, for instance, can be selected via the softkeys (6) – for tailoring to every application. Keyless access via PIN Individual operational modes are activated by entering a 5-digit PIN. Every driver therefore operates the truck with his preferred setting.

Video control for high lift heights The video camera gives excellent visibility at high lift heights. Installed directly on the forks, the operator can therefore control stacking in and retrieval operations efficiently and safely from his seat. There is no need to constantly look up to the load and this noticeably reduces stress in neck and shoulders.

Height selection (optional) Jungheinrich offers height selection for increased safety and higher speed during stacking and retrieval. The onboard computer display shows the fork height in mm. The required pallet position is approached automatically by pressing a button.

The choice is yours: 180° or 360° steering Jungheinrich offers you a tailored solution for every application with a choice of 180° or 360° steering because every steering position has its own advantages. The steering mode can be switched over as required – even during travel – allowing steering to be adjusted perfectly to new application conditions.

12

Advantage of 360° steering: Fastest possible direction change With 360° steering, the travel direction is switched over during travel. The advantage is that the load pick-up is carried out smoothly in one movement. The result is a noticeably higher pallet throughput.

Advantage of 180° steering: Minimum turning radius With steering lock to lock, the ETV Series 1 can be turned with the smallest possible radius. The advantage is quick and easy positioning the aisles in front of the pallet location.

With 360° steering Drive wheel turns by 270° during travel without stopping

With 180° steering Stop and manual direction change of drive wheel

13

Advantage: High tech safety systems. Control of every situation.

Safety on corners with Curve Control Curve Control automatically reduces the travel speed on corners dependent on the steering lock. The electric motor brake is activated independently of the selected travel programme and keeps centrifugal forces affecting operator, load and truck at a constant, low level.

14

The advantage is that the danger of tipping is reduced. In addition, the maximim travel speed is automatically reduced to crawl speed if the forks are raised above the free lift height.

Weighing function at the push of a button The weighing function is an excellent safety feature ensuring that the operator is aware of excess load weight. The weight (+/–50 kg) is displayed when the load is picked up.

15

Advantage: High-tech masts. Safe load handling.

Vibration time is period of sway without Jungheinrich mast reach cushioning

More stability – more capacity Strong mast profiles for ZT/DZ mast designs, torsion-resistant cross members and a solid seat in the mast housing with excellent visibility are clear advantages for robustness and safety. The result: More working cycles per day due to higher lift speeds and higher residual capacities.

80 % time saved with Jungheinrich mast reach cushioning

Fork tilt At high lift heights in particular, only the low mass of the forks is moved. Mast deviations are therefore very slight. Constant tilt values of 2° forward and 5° backward provide many application opportunities, especially in push-in and continuous racking.

Mast tilt Mast tilt reduces the total length of the truck, both with and without the load. Another advantage is that it compensates for mast deflection when picking up heavy loads. This also makes work in narrow racking aisles easier. The mast tilt position is easily recognised from the operator seat. The mast shows the tilt like a marker.

16

Patented cushioning system The mast reach cushioning system patented by Jungheinrich for normal track/ narrow track design (ETV/ETM) from 7100 mm lift height contributes significantly towards increasing productivity and lowering costs: Mast deflections during stacking and retrieval are reduced by 80 %! This saves on troublesome and expensive positioning times. The reach cushioning has also been improved and now provides more safety, especially for fragile loads. 17

Advantage: Lowering your costs. More energy than you can use.

Energy reclamation during lowering With the Jungheinrich energy reclamation system, the motor becomes a generator during lowering. The advantages: Every 4th lift with reclaimed energy-free. Operating time and battery service life are significantly extended. At the bottom of this is pure physics: Supposing a lifting and lowering process uses a total of 100 energy units. 70 of these units (40 for lifting and 30 for lowering) are lost in the electro-hydraulic system – all electro-hydraulic systems are subject to this law of physics. What happens to the remaining 30 units? Normally they are just used. However, the Jungheinrich energy reclamation system can make the 30 remaining units reusable – without feeding them back into the battery in the meantime. The 30 reclaimed units are immediately available to the system for the next current draw.

Energy reclamation during braking When the operator takes his foot off the accelerator, up to 20% energy is fed back into the battery due to the electronic control system. If the pedal brake is also used, the brake system automatically checks whether the regenerative braking has the same braking effect and then combines both braking systems. The advantage is maximum cost saving during braking. Your advantages I Increased pallet throughput I Longer operation with the same battery I Shorter battery charging times I Lower electricity costs I Longer battery life

The High Technology Reach Truck. Innovations based on 50 years experience.

CAN-BUS technology The control electronics for all travel and hydraulic functions work with advanced CAN-BUS topology. Every individual component of the electronics system passes its operating condition to other components and receives their data simultaneously. The electronic information exchange is thus simpler, more transparent and above all safer. The Service Engineer simply connects his laptop and so gains access to all performancerelevant truck data.

20

Excellent functional reliability Jungheinrich always combines high functional reliability with the highest productivity. A good example of this are the controls with completely enclosed electronics to the high protection class IP 65, as well as sealed plug systems. The advantage is longevity especially operating in applications which cause high vibrations or under harsh climatic conditions. Travel and lift control electronics are also installed in an all-aluminium pressure housing that ensures best thermal conditions.
