Recovery Walk Scotland 2013

Scotland’s National Day for Recovery

Cameras and Photography

Saturday 23 March is Scotland’s first ever national day for recovery and we want you to join us to celebrate at Recovery Walk Scotland 2013! We will gather at the Forth Road bridge and walk together in gratitude for both recovery and for those who helped us in our recovery journey. Then it’s party time with inspiration, music and comedy from the recovery community.

Recovery communities up and down the country will hold their own local event in celebration of recovery before joining us at the Forth Road Bridge. Could you host a local recovery walk, community meeting or art display? The Recovery Initiative Fund can provide financial support to help you make this happen.

Online registration is now open at

We have listened to feedback from the recovery community around concerns about anonymity. No journalists are invited to attend or report upon Recovery Walk Scotland. The SRC will photograph the event and also ask one recovery film crew to attend. If you are worried about being photographed or captured on film, please make this clear to the photographer/film crew. You are welcome to take personal photographs at the event, please be mindful that others may not want their photograph to be taken.

www.scottishrecoveryconsortium .org and we need you to register if you would like to join us on Saturday 23 March. Can you help to distribute publicity posters and leaflets in your recovery community? Would you like to volunteer as a steward on 23 March 2013? Let us know when you register and a member of Team Consortium will be in touch.
