STARTING POINT: .

• 

The stresses contemporary cities face emphasise the need for a more holistic approach, which addresses ‘change’, promoting a ‘strong sustainability’ within Knowledge Societies.

• 

We make the case for ‘Resilience’ as a generator of a ‘strong sustainability’ through UR strategies, thus focusing on the ability to tackle ‘change’.

METHOD: • 

(1) overview the principles of KBUD , Resilience and UR;

• 

(2) readdress the conceptualisation of a ‘strong urban sustainability’;

END POINT: • 

(3) render a redesigned strategy that supports a ‘strong urban sustainability’ through Resilience.
