Abstract

Robert Clemens Bucher (1911-2008) was former township supervisor for Lower Salford, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and a founder of the Goschenhoppen Historians. The Robert C. Bucher Photograph Project, circa late 20th century, consists of photographs and negatives of area properties taken by Bucher. It is arranged alphabetically by property name.

Biographical/Historical Note Robert Clemens Bucher (1911-2008) was former township supervisor for Lower Salford, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and a founder of the Goschenhoppen Historians. Bucher was a chemist by profession who earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Ursinus College. He worked as a research chemist for D. U. Dupont in Wilmington, and Fleers Inc. After retirement, he continued to consult for Dande Corporation of Denmark. In addition to the Goschenhoppen Historians, Bucher was also a founding member of Lower Salford Historians, Pennsylvania Log House Society, Historic Schaefferstown and Heckler-Fest. Bucher was a member of Indian Creek Church of the Brethren in Harleysville, and taught at the Sunday school there for 50 years. Bibliography: Gross, Bud. "Robert Clemens Bucher." July 4, 2008.
