RSS Feed into Twitter and Facebook Tutorial 1. Create a Facebook account and a Twitter account (these will not be the focus of this tutorial). 2. In a web browser, navigate to http://twitterfeed.com/. 3. Create an account by clicking the “sign up” button at the top-right corner of the website.

4. Follow the instructions to create a new account. 5. Once the account was created, one can add one or more RSS feeds to be published one or more of the available social networking services. Fill in the “Feed Name” field with a title of your choice for your feed and the “RSS Feed URL” field with the exact address of your feed. Don’t forget to click the “test rss feed” button after filling in the “RSS Feed URL” field to test whether your RSS feed works or not. Then, click “Continue to step 2”.

6. If desired, clicking on the “Advanced Settings” button reveals several tweaks that can be applied to the delivery of the RSS feed.

7. This new page displays all the available services where you can share your RSS feed. For the sake of this tutorial, we will only use Facebook and Twitter. a. For Facebook: i. Click on the Facebook button. ii. Click on the Connect to Facebook button.

iii. Fill in the fields with your Facebook username and password and click connect. iv. You will be redirected back to the twitterfeed website where you will be able to choose from displaying the feed in your wall or in one of your pages (if you have previously created them in Facebook). v. Finally, click “Create Service”, leaving the rest of the fields unmodified. b. For twitter: i. Click on the Twitter button. ii. Click on the Authenticate Twitter button.

iii. Fill in the fields with your Twitter username and password and click allow. iv. You will be redirected back to the twitterfeed website. v. Finally, click “Create Service”, leaving the rest of the fields unmodified. 8. Once you are done creating the desired services, click “All Done!” You should now read: “Congratulations, you have successfully configured a feed!”, finalizing this tutorial.
