Variety/description
Halesia tetraptera (H. carolina) 'Carolina Silver Bell' White bell shaped flowers early spring. Yellow green leaves in summer. Yellow in fall. Fruit oblong changing from green to brown. Good example of a native American plant used an understory plant. Heptacodium miconioides (Seven-Son Flower) A great tree for summer and early fall. Blooms in late August with abundant white flowers, gradually turning a pinkish red in late September.
Magnolia sieboldii (Oyama Magnolia) Multistemmed tree with cup shaped flowers. Flowers appear May June. This plant is not the same as 'Colossus,' our next listing. Magnolia sieboldii 'Colossus' (Oyama magnolia) Large, fragrant blooms lasting from May to mid July. Magnolia 'Daybreak' Also named Magnolia brooklynensis 'Woodsman Tina Durio.' An upright hybrid suitable for smaller areas. The pink flowers are very fragrant, blooming two weeks later than Magnolia x soulangeana (Saucer Magnolia).
Nyssa sylvatica 'Red Rage' (Black Gum) Vigorous grower with good branching and considerable red fall coloring.

Nyssa sylvatica 'Wild Fire' (Black Gum) The name is descriptive of this tree that displays abundant red on a green background during the growing season. The bright color is spectacular when color is lacking during the heat of the summer. Quercus bicolor (Swamp White Oak) Attractive, very gren leaves adaptable to dry or wet conditions. Strong grower. Transplants well.
