I am the lecturer and Ph.D fellow in the department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Karachi, Karachi, Pakistan. The scientific achievements covers 5 years (20112015). I am the pioneer to introduce authentic, simple, cheap and rapid copper sulfate induce chick emesis model, Japanese model to evaluate natural antiemetic , developed by Akita et al., 1998. My focus is to explore natural antiemetic (anti-vomiting) along with analgesic (pain reducing) and anti-inflammatory (swelling / inflammation reducing) properties. In this regard, I have positively evaluated leaves, flowers, fruits and roots extracts of different Pakistani indigenous plants. My research also covered well known Pakistani aromatic kitchen herbs and spices and ornamental plants. For the first time, I have reported analgesic and antiemetic activities of fixed oil. Recently, I have discovered and reported Bergenin as an antiemetic compound. I am the author of two state-of-the-art reviews about natural antiemetic entitled as "Antiemetic effects of bioactive natural products" invited by Phytopharmacology, UK and the other one is "Natural antiemetics- an overview" invited by my parent institution . My 16 research articles about natural antiemetics have gain a much attention from Bangladesh, Philippine, India and Pakistan and have 73 citations with 5h-index and 2 i10-index. In the honor of such meritorious services in the field of natural antiemetic, I was awarded Nishan-e-Zafar by University of Karachi in 2014.
