T

his Homespun Walk of Honor Quilt, made with scraps of donated materials, was a community project. Many Landis Homes residents helped with cutting, sewing, ironing and quilting while others sponsored blocks. Its destiny as a “Walk of Honor” quilt, is to cover recently deceased residents as they are escorted from the community for the last time. This quilt will be auctioned on Fellowship Day, but the winning bidder will understand, that with their most generous bid, they will be donating the quilt back to Landis Homes to begin its sacred duty.
