CaT& Friends
...
Lives Regained!
It was not so long ago that CarolAnn Tutera (“CaT”) felt awful. Her energy was replaced by moodiness, weight gain, and a chronic case of a “couldn’t care less” attitude. She felt as if the quality of life she once enjoyed was diminishing more and more every day. As it turned out, it wasn’t just the quality of her life that was declining, her hormone levels were also plummeting. Coincidence? (Think again!) Like many women who find this to be a familiar story, CaT chalked it up to the simple fact that she was getting older. The story takes an ironic turn. CaT’s husband, Dr. Gino Tutera, is a pioneer in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. The answer to CaT’s problem was literally right in front of her eyes, at home and at work. One day while working at Dr. Tutera’s office, CaT heard a buzz of excitement coming from the waiting room from women who were flying in from all around the country to see him for SottoPelle® Therapy [bio-identical hormone replacement therapy using pellets]. After listening in on the incredible stories the women shared with each other about regaining their lives, CaT decided to try the therapy herself. Her life changed within weeks. She slept better, had more energy, felt happier, lost the stubborn pounds she had packed on, and noticed how her skin looked younger and brighter. Now, She is the leading champion for SottoPelle®. She’s not alone in leading the charge – she stands alongside countless patients of Dr. Tutera’s who are just as passionate about spreading the word…about regaining their lives! “I’m 73 years old and took a pill hormone replacement therapy for 20 years. When I hit 70, I said, I don’t know if these pills are doing anything and so I quit. Within one year, I spiraled down. I just didn’t care to live anymore and nothing was interesting anymore. I had no desire for anything. Then, my next-door neighbor told me about SottoPelle Therapy. Within three weeks of being on the pellets, I was a totally different woman. I was flying around the tennis court, and I am now in a relationship and have a healthy sex life. I am excited about learning again and am taking piano lessons. I’m so thrilled that at my age I’m still learning and passionate about life. I’m alive again!” Winnie T., age 73
“There are many of us who wish to remain physically fit and active without feeling like a wet dishrag by day’s end! I was beginning to feel like that at 48 and knew I wasn’t going to enter my 50s feeling wiped out by 6 p.m. After hearing friends tell me of their success with SottoPelle... I was listening! By balancing my hormone levels through SottoPelle®, I’ve regained my youthful energy, and this is extremely important to me because I’ve been a personal trainer/health coach for 16 years and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon! We all experience hormone changes… it’s inevitable but we don’t need to put up with the negative side effects such as mood swings, sleep deprivation, hair loss and decreased libido.” Molly C., age 52
“For the past five years, Dr. Tutera has been a lifesaver for me. Now I no longer suffer from anxiety and hot flashes, and I feel great! The natural hormone pellets are a lifesaver. Dr. Tutera, and the doctors he works with at SottoPelle®, are sympathetic, understanding, knowledgeable, respectful and interested in their patients’ health and well being. I highly recommend everyone at SottoPelle®. Thank you, Dr. Tutera! I am eternally grateful to you.” Your healthy and devoted patient, Patsy L., age 72
“I had been suffering from postpartum depression for over two years when I discovered SottoPelle®. I started to concede that I was never going to feel like myself again. The second I met Dr. Tutera, I knew this was the man who was going to help me. With blood work showing no trace of testosterone, I had found my answer! I left the office with my pellets, and two weeks later, my life was changed. The ‘fog’ slowly lifted. My husband had his wife back, my kids had their mom back, and I had myself back.” Sheila T., mid-30s

FREE SCREENING FOR NUMBNESS AND PAIN IN THE HANDS Nerve compression in the arm or hand such as carpal tunnel syndrome which is a pinched nerve at the wrist or cubital tunnel syndrome which is pinched nerve at the elbow are common sources of numbness, weakness and pain in the hands. Symptoms can include numbness in the fingers or hands, pain in the hands that can even travel up the arm to the shoulder and neck, and weakness in the hands. Permanent damage to the nerve can develop if the condition is untreated. Dr. Michael Fitzmaurice has developed a patent-pending endoscopic treatment for this condition called the EndoView™ endoscopic nerve release. This technique uses a single minimal incision to view and release the tight bands over the nerve. Light activity is allowed immediately and dressings are removed in 2 days. Patients return to work activity within a week. Patients are also offered the NeuroGen® nerve support supplement which significantly improves nerve recovery and function. Call today for a free screening on the 3rd Monday of each month. Also check out our TV show, The Health Connection on AZTV7, cable 13. Arizon’s only 30 minute show devoted to health care topics.
about it hours later, or it sitting at the back of your mind and influencing how you handle a situation even a few days later. It makes you pause and it makes you think. That’s how Linda Nofer’s journey of alcoholism, hitting rock bottom, and putting her life back together affected me. Her story haunted me. It made me feel sad for the time she missed, and in awe of the strength she’s found. I read it one morning and later that afternoon, when my kids came home from school, I hugged them a little harder, with the thought of her driving towards a school zone fresh in my mind. Words are powerful, and the raw emotion and frankness with which Nofer shares her experience weaves a moving story. Alcoholism is a disease, and it can wreak havoc on someone’s life. Some, like Nofer, find the strength to change their lives. Let her story inspire your life—or maybe change someone else’s. On a lighter side, this month kicks off the holiday season. We’re here to help you, whether you need advice on how to keep from gaining weight with all the tempting holiday food that’s around, need strategies for saving your money during all the gift-giving, or could use fun gadgets that help with holiday food preparation. No matter which stories influence you this month, thank you for taking the time to read this issue. I hope that you read something that impacts you, as well. Healthfully yours, Michelle Glicksman Editor-in-Chief

WHAT I DO DURING THE DAY: I am a doctor of physical therapy at an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Scottsdale. Outside of work I also enjoy teaching Pilates and blogging on my fitness/health website called Beautiful to the Core (www.beautifultothecore.com). I WORKOUT BECAUSE: I can’t live without it. It provides me with stress relief, self-confidence, energy, motivation, and overall improved health. I compete in NPC (National Physique Committee) competitions and do fitness modeling throughout the year, so it is important for me to stay in shape year-round. MY WORKOUT ROUTINE IS: I lift six to seven days a week and do HIIT training two days a week. I also practice Pilates during my free time because it is the absolute best core workout. My mother is a Pilates instructor, so I have been hooked on it ever since she introduced me to it as a teen. MY BIGGEST MOTIVATOR IS: My boyfriend. As a former Marine Corps Sergeant, he is the most motivating and determined man I know. He keeps me educated on fitness research, gives me exercise tips, writes my meal plans, and inspires me to keep building my physique. MY NUTRITIONAL ROUTINE IS: I am a chocoholic, so it takes a lot of self-control to stay on track. However, I eat six meals a day that are a balance of protein, carbs and fats. Off-season I allow myself a cheat meal each week. Some of my favorite sweet treats are frozen chocolate peanut butter protein shakes, protein pancakes, and Greek yogurt! I LOVE SCOTTSDALE BECAUSE: The mountains are beautiful! Being from Florida, I am used to flat land. So each day I walk outside, I am in awe of the mountains and feel so blessed to get to live here.

Trust Only the Expert in
Permanent Make Up!
The most popular
procedures performed at Rachell Hall’s Classic Beauty are permanent eyebrows, permanent eyeliner and full lip color. Known as a Master in custom color blending and makeup artistry, Rachell’s ability to create perfectly placed and subtly colored eyebrows and amazingly natural looking eyeliner is why her international clientele come from far and wide to visit her Scottsdale location. As a twenty two year expert in the field of permanent make up Rachell Hall now explains the reality, the myths and the magic of permanent make up. “The question that I get most often, and always first is…does it hurt? People assume that the eyeliner would be the most sensitive area but actually it is the least sensitive. It is the thinnest skin on the body so with just 10 minutes of a topical numbing cream to prepare the lashline most of my clients tell me that it just Rachell Hall sort of tickles as I massage the color into the skin at the very base of each eyelash. Because I have been doing this for so many years it really only takes about
15 minutes for upper eyeliner once the skin is properly prepared,” explains Hall who has performed thousands of procedures in both plastic surgery offices and her own private studios. Permanent makeup will enhance your looks and simplify your daily routine at any age. Young women in their 20’s and 30’s absolutely rave about the upper eyelash enhancement. “Rather than looking like permanent eyeliner I can create the illusion of a sexy, smoky, rich and full lash line. This procedure along with the latest lash enhancement products like LiLash or Latisse is the finest in beauty technology,” Hall says with enthusiasm, and an obvious love of her occupation. “One of my favorite procedures is permanent eyebrows for young women who have overtweezed and for all my clients in their 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and beyond. Eyebrows frame the eyes to create a youthful look. My entire career has been based on “classic beauty”–nothing trendy. I can always add more–my belief is that permanent make up should be for your subtle everyday go anywhere look. For evening and special events traditional cosmetics are still wonderful to supplement the beautiful permanent makeup. Imagine waking up looking beautiful, and still looking great at 8 p.m., without having to apply cosmetics several times during the day. Imagine eyeliner and eyebrows that won’t smear or run and imagine lip color that won’t bleed or disappear. And how about jumping out of the pool and still looking marvelous. It’s all possible with permanent make up.
“Classic beauty– nothing trendy. I can always add more.”

EACH MONTH, SCOTTSDALE HEALTH FEATURES ONE LOCAL SINGLE. THIS MONTH, MEET:
LAUREN THALMANN AGE: 31 ABOUT ME: I am fun-loving, down-to-earth, sincere, and honest. I grew up in Scottsdale and absolutely love it. My family and friends are a big part of my life and I have two dogs that always brighten my day. In my spare time I love to cook. I enjoy trying new things, restaurants, traveling, shopping, and being spontaneous and adventurous. I am not an avid hiker or camper, but I have gone on occasion. I love going to sporting events. I enjoy getting dolled up and going out but I also love relaxing at home with a good movie or watching TV. Life is too short to waste, so I try to enjoy every moment. MY FAVORITE MOVIE IS: Do I have to just pick one? I like cheesy, romantic comedies; action movies; and suspense. A few of my favorite movies are Dumb and Dumber,
Anchorman, Knocked Up, Bridesmaids, and The Hangover. WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IN A SIGNIFICANT OTHER: I am looking for someone who has a sense of humor, and who is comfortable enough to laugh at themselves when they trip or do something silly. Someone who respects my opinions but also stands up for what he believes in. THE MOST IMPORTANT QUALITIES TO ME ARE: Honesty, trust, courage and faithfulness. I want someone who I can trust, who is honest in all aspects of his life. As I said before, my family, friends and dogs are important to me, so it is essential that my partner honor those relations and obviously love dogs. THE LEAST IMPORTANT QUALITIES TO ME ARE: I am upbeat and prefer to look for the good in everyone but leaving the seat up drives me nuts! Interested in meeting Lauren? Email her via
[email protected]. Please put “Lauren” in the subject line.

Nutrition
1113
BY BEN BROWN
Let’s face it—the holidays are usually a fat-induced free-for-all. From Thanksgiving through New Years, it’s a plethora of stuffing, pie, chocolate, caramel corn and alcohol, on rinse and repeat. Don’t let this be you… again. It’s time to remove your hand from the Hershey’s bowl and lay the groundwork for the most nutritionally productive and physique-enhancing holiday season you’ve ever had. Set yourself up for nutritional success this holiday season by subscribing to this list of holiday eating tips.
1. Set a Goal Be it big or small, write it down and get started. Maybe your goal is to “not gain
\Strategies to Beat the Holiday Bulge
weight” or even lose a few pounds—either way, awesome. Now attach some behavioral goals to that, like: • Setting up a weekly meal plan. • Hiring a personal trainer or nutritionist. • Limit alcohol intake to just one glass of wine at night instead of the whole bottle. Waiting for January 1 to get started is a mistake. Get started today.
Now Open in Tempe! The Original Picazzo’s Organic Italian Kitchen, owned and operated by the founder/owner of Picazzo’s. 440 West Warner Rd

2. Make Better Decisions A better decision means re-gifting that ginormous tin of kettle corn. After all, no one ever ate anything by accident. You always have a choice. Minimize the choices you have to make by bringing your lunch and snacks to work to avoid picking at the inevitable stash of sugary junk lying around the office.

First, improve your flexibility. Yoga is one of the best methods to keep joints mobile and to help circulate the nutrient rich fluid that keeps cartilage healthy. Yoga is also a great way to reduce your stress levels and increase oxygen to your muscles.
Scottsdale Fire Chief Tom Shannon says. “We are proud to be one of the first fire depart-
free or low-cost strategies such as turning off lights and appliances, installing whisker switches for fire bay doors, weatherization techniques, and upgrading heating and cooling units. “Reducing our energy use is an important tactic in our efforts to better serve our city. We are always looking for ways to cut costs and be good stewards of public funds,” ments in the nation to take this energy reduction challenge.”
Second, improve core strength. Core muscles consist not only of your abdominal and trunk muscles, but also your gluteal and upper leg musculature. Back braces often lead to weak core strength as you begin to rely on the brace instead of your own muscles. Third, ice inflamed muscles and joints. Do not heat them. When inflammation and pain are present, ice is always the “go-to” treatment. Often heat feels good at the time of application, but hours later or the following day can make pain and swelling worse. Fourth, seek treatment for pain from a Pain Management Specialist who can help coordinate your care, whether it is Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Massage, Acupuncture, Medications, Pain Management or Surgery. Having a Pain Management Physician to help navigate your options will help you to resolve your Pain problems quickly and safely. This Swedish dish is fermented Baltic herring. Usually sold in cans, while they are being shipped the cans sometimes bulge due to the ongoing fermentation. Supposedly they taste like bitter sunflower seeds without the salt. 5. Mopane. This caterpillar, which is generally found on Mopane trees, is an important source of protein for millions of people in Africa. They are typically dried and eaten as a crispy snack. 4. A-ping. The Joke’s on Us!
So go ahead and laugh already—hey, it’s good for you! Q: What do you get from a pampered cow? A: Spoiled milk.
There was a little boy and a little girl in a bathtub having a bath. Suddenly the little girl looked down at the boy. “Can I touch it?” she asked.
Q: What do you call a fake noodle?
“No way,” he answered. “You already broke yours off!”
A: An impasta. One Sunday morning William burst into the living room and said, “Dad! Mom! I have some great news for you!

married 30 years. She’s a wonderful wife but she has never offered much excitement in the bedroom, so I used to fool around with women a lot. Susan is actually your half-sister, and I’m afraid you can’t marry her.” William was heartbroken. After eight months he eventually started dating girls again. A year later he came home and very proudly announced, “Diane said yes! We’re getting married in June.” Again his father insisted on another private conversation and broke the sad news. “Diane is your halfsister too, William. I’m awfully sorry about this.” William was furious! He finally decided to go to his mother with the news. “Dad has done so much harm. I guess I’m never going to get married,” he complained. “Every time I fall in love, Dad tells me the girl is my half-sister.” His mother just shook her head. “Don’t pay any attention to what he says, dear. He’s not really your father.”

ANONYMOUS No More Linda Nofer can’t remember what happened to her on March 12, 2013, but it’s a day that she’ll never forget. She’s pieced the events of that day together from police and paramedics reports, but there are some things she’ll just never know. Before that fateful day, Nofer was, to the casual observer, the picture of health. A former television journalist who bounced around from city to city, she had settled back in Scottsdale to bring The Daley Method fitness studio to the area, eventually leaving and opening her current Bar Fitness studio location (www.barfitness.com). But underneath that strong exterior hid a woman with a painful past and a dangerous secret. Growing up in Scottsdale, Nofer was a gymnast from the time she was a little girl until high school. A member of the elite Desert Devils gymnastics troupe, she was able to compete even after losing her brother to leukemia at just 9-years-old, but when her mom passed away seven years later, also from cancer, she eventually quit. Anyone would have a hard time dealing with so much tragedy at such a young age, but a family history of alcohol dependence and an early introduction to drinking would soon put Nofer on a destructive path.
A few drinks turned into a few more, and within a few hours, things went from bad to worse. “I started drinking early enough that by 3 o’clock, I got behind the wheel of my car with no idea where I was going and a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .375. I would later learn anything over .350 is fatal. The only reason why I lived to see the next day is

Nofer is I later was able to meet one of the officers [who had been] at the scene and he had speaking out never seen someone with BAC that high walk away. He told me, ‘A 250-pound and taking it man that reached a .375 would die.’ I was diagnosed that day with acute alcohol one day at poisoning. When you hear of celebrities dying from alcohol-related stuff, that’s a time what their BAC is. I was one shot away from

up for the cause and join the Pablove Foundation in its fight against childhood cancer during the organization’s annual Pablove Across America 500mile bike ride. The latest ride that he participated in was held last month.
About learning of his son’s diagnosis four year ago, Adam says, “It was really difficult to hear the news, you have to go into battle mode. There’s some fear and a lot of crying, but then you think, ‘What can we do to find the best treatment?’” One organization helping find the best treatments—through funding pediatric cancer research and advances in treatments—is the Pablove Foundation. It also helps educate and improve the quality of life for children who are currently dealing with cancer, through art, music, and hospital play programs. It was when his son was diagnosed that Adam and his wife, Joy, first learned about the organization, as well as its annual bike ride, which serves as one of its large fundraisers. “You gather so much information from so many people in the community, even from strangers who heard about our family or our story,” he explains. “A family we didn’t even know took us under their wing, and was also plugged into the cancer community and heard about another family riding for the Pablove Foundation, and I thought I had to be there [at the ride].” In working towards better treatments and advancements, the Pablove Foundation sponsors Pablove Across America, an annual bike ride that raises money for the cause. The ride takes place in various locations each year, and this year found its way back to California. The 500-mile ride took par-

The first year I rode I didn’t raise a single penny, but still felt I had to be there.” This year, Weber rode an average of 75 miles a day, including some days that were anywhere from 55 to 90 miles a day. There were 36 riders from all over the country, including Louisiana, Seattle, California, and even Canada, that biked for childhood cancer, with the help of donors from all over the country. “It’s great to be able to pay it forward. I look at it like I don’t know who made the treatment plan for Leo when he was diagnosed, but on some level, someone somewhere researched what works, so I feel I have to pay it forward to thank whoever saved my son’s life,” Weber explains about the best part of being involved with Pablove Across America. This year’s Pablove Across America ride marked the fifth annual ride—the event first debuted in 2009. The picturesque ride takes a different route each

Growing up, cooking together as a family and eating well-balanced meals was a big deal in Heather Stouffer’s home. Her mom involved both her and her brother in the kitchen from an early age; they helped her to cook and most nights they all ate dinner together as a family. “When I was brought up, food—and the right kinds of food— was really a priority,” Stouffer says. Her dream was to provide the same positive experience with healthy foods for her own kids; home-cooked meals with wholesome ingredients would be the name of the game at her home. But, as many busy parents find out, cooking well-balanced meals nightly is easier said than done. “When I became a mom though, I found it seemed impossible to make homemade meals every night,” Stouffer says. She looked for healthy frozen options but didn’t find many that fit the bill. Then, when her eldest child was about a year old, a light bulb went off. Stouffer realized that she couldn’t be the only parent feeling the way she did, so she came up with the idea

But, the U.S. is big and we still have a lot of ground to cover.” What makes Mom Made Foods’ line of products different, Stouffer says, is that they’re inspired by kids’ tastes but still use only the freshest quality ingredients, organic products, and meats raised without antibiotics. In addition, all foods are sourced from the U.S. Mom Made Foods are available in three different categories: munchies, bites and meals. “Munchies are handheld pockets, similar to sandwiches. My son loves them in his lunch for school,” Stouffer says. “The bites are meatballs and are easy proteins... and the meals are wholesome, as well. For example, with our spaghetti, we use purees instead of food coloring. The spaghetti and meatballs is a big seller.” Stouffer adds that Mom Made

The use of biologically identical, non-synthetic testosterone and estradiol is safe, and the use of pellets as the delivery method is effective, he says. When patients with Parkinson’s disease are treated with SottoPelle Therapy, they have shown vast improvements due to a variety of factors. Tutera says that improved hormone levels allow the Parkinson’s disease medications to work more effectively, and helps increase dopamine production in the brain. SottoPelle Therapy also gives early onset Parkinson’s patients the tools to exercise more since, when their hormones are in balance, they have more energy; this allows them to maintain better endurance, balance and coordination. Exercise is a highly recommended treatment for Parkinson’s. Through his work on how hormones affect the body, and SottoPelle Therapy specifically, it is only a matter of time until further research is conducted to examine all the possible benefits of SottoPelle Therapy, Tutera believes. He explains that pellet therapy differs from other hormone therapies because it is the only delivery system that allows the patient’s body to control the release of hormones. Patients are treated with the hormones and can return to work in the same day, and they report that the benefits can last for months.
Beauty isn’t skin deep it’s deeper.
Tutera adds that the therapy is something patients can receive safely for life.

Firefighter wife Samya Cochran had no idea that her line of firefighter-themed clothing for her daughter would grow into the successful fitness and loungewear line that it is today. Seven years ago, Cochran was pregnant with her first child when she found out that she was having a daughter. After that, the search for firefighter-themed clothing began. To her dismay, the only firefighterthemed children’s clothing that she could find was for boys. Cochran decided to do something about it, and created her own line called Firedaughter Clothing, which was strictly aimed towards girls who have firefighter fathers. “When I first started I didn’t have any intention of making anything other than clothes for the daughters of firefighters,” says Cochran. “That’s all I thought that I would ever make.” After almost two years of production and seeing that sales weren’t what she hoped for, Cochran said she almost gave up. Before she threw in the towel, her neighbor pointed out that she should expand Firedaughter into a broader brand that is accessible to more demographics. Cochran had always been into fitness and began running marathons after her first child was born, so it was only natural that fitness wear would be the next step. “I was living in a world of runners so I kind of started making things more

geared towards runners,” says Cochran. She began designing shirts that women who enjoy a fit lifestyle could wear for both lounging and exercise, and it grew from there. “Whatever I was into at the moment, that’s what I made sure it was about,” explains Cochran.

The brand started to gain attention when Cochran began posting photographs of her wearing her products on social media sites. Orders came flowing in and Cochran continued to design shirts with sayings on them about her story and outlook on fitness. “As a 37-year-old working mother of two, I have been through everything that every other woman has, and its nice for women to have a place where they can come where they know that someone else gets it,” says Cochran. “They get that my shirts aren’t just words on shirts, they have a meaning.” Cochran said that she believes her success comes from a mixture of blessing and luck, and that most of her orders come from Pinterest or word-of-mouth on Facebook. “I’m really big on people just finding me because they were meant to find me and then they fall in love with Firedaughter because of the way my clothes make them feel and because of the

way I treat them,” says Cochran. Cochran works in a 4,000-square-foot space in Old Town Scottsdale, which is equipped with a workshop where she produces all of her clothing and ships all of her online orders. The other half of the space is where she opened her first retail store this past May. “You couldn’t not be happy when you walk in,” says Cochran. “It’s like Disneyland for chicks who workout.” The store is a bright space with loud music where women can come in, pick out the shirt with the design they want, and then have it custom-produced in their size and color of choice while they wait. Firedaughter Clothing, or “FD nation,” as Cochran calls it, began as a children’s line in a household kitchen and has organically evolved into an inspirational clothing line encouraging women to be the best version of themselves. https://www.facebook.com/firedaughterclothingfd.

Especially if a man has given a woman his phone number, it’s reasonable to assume that he won’t be shocked if you call. And if he thinks this makes you odd, desperate or aggressive, you’re better off knowing he’s not your right match from the get-go. Shouldn’t men and women have equal rights in this arena, just

Dr. Robert Leibmann has been helping people achieve pain-free lives since 1990. His success has been driven by his years of experience, and his ongoing commitment to fostering the health and well-being of his patients. Dr. Leibmann believes in treating patients using a “whole person approach,” which seeks not just to fix a singular problem, but to engage the patient’s entire body in its journey toward good health. Dr. Leibmann has been a licensed chiropractor since 1990. He has a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the State University of New York, Plattsburg, and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University, Marietta. He is licensed to practice in New York and Arizona. He is also a member of both the Arizona Chiropractic Society and the American Chiropractic Association.
At Scottsdale Dental Arts, Dr. Jason D. McCargar, DMD and team strive to tailor your dental care to suit your individual dental needs. Our practice is equipped with cutting-edge dental technology so that each patient receives the best dental care available. Through his extensive training and experience, Dr. McCargar has developed a theory of Comprehensive Dental Care. This theory is based on building lifelong relationships with our valued patients by emphasizing on-going, open communication. As a new patient, Dr. McCargar will meet with you to learn about your health and dental history, and your dental health goals. Together, you will develop a plan to achieve ideal oral health for the teeth and supporting tissues, as well as excellence in appearance and function. Helping you achieve a healthy, pain-free life is what we do! TAKE IT FROM OUR PATIENTS…
I was initially seen in this office for pain between my shoulder blades. I am a hairdresser and work caused my problem. I have a lot less pain and it is much easier working now. I have also noticed a reduction in allergies and I feel better in general. It has been such a good experience that my three and half old year old daughter has been getting adjusted also. Everyone at this office is great, just like family. My daughter and I feel right at home. —Sandy Zavala My first visit to South Scottsdale Chiropractic was to seek treatment for a motor vehicle accident. My symptoms began the day after the accident. I came to see Dr. Leibmann on the recommendation of my attorney. The accident had left me stiff and in a lot of pain. I now have virtually no pain, more mobility, more energy and no headaches. I instantly felt comfortable with Dr. Leibmann and the whole staff. Thank you for all your help and kindness. —Amy Lindsay About twelve years ago I began having migraine headaches and back pain. I consulted a D.O. and an M.D. Both told me to lose weight and then they ran tests. The diagnosis was, “it just happens”. I continued to have pain and took Aleve and other medications to abate the pain. Since beginning chiropractic care, my migraine headaches have improved at least 50% and my back and hips feel better. In addition my breathing is easier and I am more relaxed overall. My ex-boyfriend referred me to Dr. Leibmann. I love you guys, thanks for everything —Amy Jo Hatton
