Arlington Dramatists Project (ADP) was the new play development wing of Washington Shakespeare Company. In addition to acting as literary director in charge of new works for Washington Shakespeare Company, I programmed a nationally recognized workshop series for new works in development. • Artistic Director, Open Circle Theater, Seattle WA, 1997 – 2000 Seattle-‐based Open Circle Theater was a multi-‐disciplinary performance company committed to the development of new works and adaptations that speak to the human condition through fantasy and mythic storytelling. From 1997 to 2000, Open Circle presented twenty full productions, with six critically-‐acclaimed shows selected to appear at venues throughout the region including A Contemporary Theatre, Seattle Repertory, Re-‐bar, Bumbershoot, and Whidbey Island Center for the Arts. Open Circle developed the OCT Youth Project in 1997, a theatre program for legally free and at-‐risk youth. • Associate Artistic Director, BACA Downtown, 1990-1991 Brooklyn-‐based BACA Downtown was a not-‐for-‐profit theater and gallery devoted to the development and presentation of new works. BACA was also the original producer for the OBIE-‐ winning New Works Project under the stewardship of playwrights Mac Wellman and Jeffrey Jones.
