SEABELL International Co., Ltd. Micro Hydropower Generation System “STREAM” Product applications This product is the world's first micro hydraulic generation system to generate electricity from the energy of water currents. It does not require head, as its source of energy is simply water currents. It can be applied at a wide range of potential installation locations where water flows, for example, plant drainage facilities, waterworks, water purification plants, drains of sewerage facilities, the coolant drains of nuclear and thermal power generating facilities, irrigation canals, and waterways, etc. It also can be installed in rivers and oceans to take advantage of tides.

Product features (hydraulic) Entirely different from conventional hydropower generation systems, this product is floatation-type; it floats on water surfaces to capture the maximum energy of the water current. Since it uses non-head water, it does not need heavy construction like dams or reservoirs, which can be harmful by modifying the local natural environment. In addition, multiple units can be installed at the same time because it generates power from the transfer energy of water. It is thus a system that enables the large-scale power generation.

This product is available in three standard models – 3-5kW, 8-15kW, 20-40kW – depending on the volume and velocity of the current and the location of installation. Combining our patented technologies, it consists of a unit for efficient power generation by accelerating waterway speed as well as a power generator and gears. Depending on the location of the installation, the shapes of waterways may differ according to width, water depth, and speed. As a result, the system is semi-custom ordered so that we can suggest the design most suitable for the waterway. We continue to pursue technological advances, and in the near future, will offer units in the 100kW to 200kW class, and even in the 1MW and over class for tidal currents.

We are looking for business and investment partners among local companies in all areas and regions for our R&D technology and our proprietary, patented Micro-Hydropower generation system based on hydraulics. Our objective is to develop new businesses for renewable energy in the EU region.

Our patented technology is derived from the experience and technology we have built up over our 20 years in hydraulics construction design businesses as well as Japanese machinemanufacturing technologies. As such, we are a new blue ocean business, with potentially worldwide markets. Since our technology features highly efficient and reliable energy acquisition, our future markets will be much bigger than existing renewable energy markets (solar power generation, wind-power generation, and biomass). This system is quite different from existing hydropower generation (which requires water head). The system also changes existing current speed. Under one of our patents, it is based on the hydraulics concept of concentrating water current energy at the point of generation. This concept and its applied products allow us to target big potential BLUE OCEAN MARKETS. As such, we go beyond solar and wind power generation under the world's first current-type hydropower generation system brand, “STREAM.”
