The message to the lady elect and her children…and to us (part 2)

Walking in the Truth TEXT: 2 Jn. 1: 4-6 Introduction: In these decisive and apocalyptic times in which we have to live in, it is indispensable that we are in the Truth, but also, that we walk in It daily. But, how can we walk in The Truth? For that, let us read: 2 Jn. 1: 4-6: “I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.” How can we walk in The Truth? I.

WALKING IN THE TRUTH, IMPLIES WALKING IN LOVE “I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.” In the original Greek, "let us walk according to his commandments" means "let us go on walking"

A. HOW CAN WE WALK IN THE TRUTH COMO PODEMOS ANDAR EN AMOR “his is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.”

1. Having a “sacrificial love” for others (sacrificing ourselves for the benefit of others) “Love suffers long”-1 Cor. 13:4

2.Having a love that is kind “Love suffers long and is kind”-1 Cor. 13:4

3.Having a love that rejoices for other’s well being “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy;”-1 Cor. 13:4 4.Having a love that will pushes us towards humility (does not boast or fills itself with vain glory) “love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;;’-1Cor. 13:4 5. Having a love that always does the right thing (according to The Word of God) “does not behave rudely”-1 Cor. 13:4 6. Having a love that seeks others’ well being “does not seek its own,”-1Cor. 13:5 7. Having a love that it is not explosive in its reaction “is not provoked,”-1 Cor. 13:5 In the original greek : “it is not provoked” the verbal image is of: “irritation or or sharpness of spirit” 8. Having a love that forgives “it does not take into account a wrong endured.;” -1Cor. 13:5(The Amplified)

In the original greek: “it does not take into account” the verbal image is of: “Counting or taking accounts as in a ledger or notes ... with a view to adjusting the accounts “ 9. Having a love that does not rejoices of the unfair things done to others “It does not rejoice at injustice”

-1Cor. 13:6

10. Having a love that rejoices in the truth “but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]”1Cor. 13:6 B.PARTICIPATION TIME 1.Are we walking in love, just like The Word tells us in these 10 Biblical Principles? 2. What is preventing us from walking in love as the Word commands us? 3. Are we willing to walk in love, obeying His commandments? How can we walk in The Truth?

II- TO WALK IN THE TRUTH, IMPLIES TO WALK IN THE LIGHT IN THE MIDST OF DARKNESS ““I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.” “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.” -Mt. 5: 14-16 (The Amplified)

A-THROUGH A TESTIMONY OF A LIFE CHANGED “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. 5: 14-16 (The Amplified) 1. Glorifying The Lord ““You are the light of [Christ to] the world. 5: 14-16 (The Amplified) “When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying [praising and giving thanks for] the word of the Lord; and all those who had been appointed (designated, ordained) to eternal life [by God] believed [in Jesus as the Christ and their Savior].”-Acts. 13:48 2. Through the works of excellence “I have seen that every [effort in] labor and every skill in work comes from man’s rivalry with his neighbor. This too is vanity (futility, false pride) and chasing after the wind.”-Eccle. 4:4 “For Pilate knew that it was because of jealousy that the chief priests and elders had handed Jesus over to him.”-Mt. 27:18

B- PARTICIPATION TIME 1-Have you been lighting the Light of Christ with others? Has your Light brought glory to Christ? 2- Has your Light for the love of Christ, brought envy? If so, bring the situation to The Lord, forgive, and keep going forward, with your hands in the plow, without looking backwards.

CONCLUSION: The times, are more dangerous, as we go day by day. It is imperative, for our personal, as well as ambassadors of the Heavenly Kingdom, that the must walk in the Truth, walking in it day by day, in The Love of Christ Jesus, fulfilling like this, His commandment, and raising The Name that is above all names: Jesus The Christ. Remember: “2 Jn. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.” Conclude by praying together.

The message to the lady elect and her children…and to us (part 3)

The one who denies the Incarnation of Christ is an antichrist TEXT: 2 Jn. 1: 7 Introduction: Can you feel in your spirit that we are almost on the eve of the Rapture of the Faithful Church of the Lord Jesus Christ? The signals are being fulfilled at a speed like never before. And one of them, is the amount of antichrists that have arisen, and are deceiving many. Look at what 2 John 1:7 “For many deceivers [heretics, posing as Christians] have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge and confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh (bodily form). This [person, the kind who does this] is the deceiver and the [a]antichrist [that is, the antagonist of Christ].” I-SOME REASONS OF THE ATTACK TO THE INCARNATION OF CHRIST “ Inasmuch then as the

children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,””-Heb. 2:14

A-SO THAT MAN WILL NOT SEE THAT BY JESUS BECOMING MAN, HE WOULD OFFER HIMSELF AS THE LAMB OF GOD TO EXPIATE THE SINS OF MANKIND “Inasmuch then as the

children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,””-Heb. 2:14

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”-Jn. 1:29 B-SO THAT MAN WILL NOT SEE THAT THERE IS RANSOM AND FREEDOM FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF SATAN, THROUGH THE DEATH OF JESUS“ For you were bought at a therefore glorify God in your body[a] and in your spirit, which are God’s.”1 Cor. 6:20

price;

“1 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Col.2:15 ““Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,””-Heb. 2:14

C-SO THAT MAN WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE GOD’S COMPASSION FOR THE SINNER

3. He could have compassion of men, and become our Supreme High Priest “ For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”-Heb. 4:15 “ For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;”-Heb. 7:26

D-PARTICIPATION TIME 1. Can you confess that The Christ has come in flesh? 2-What do you feel when you see such expression of Love demonstrated in the Incarnation of Christ, with the Eternal Purpose of giving us Eternal Life in Him? 3- Is this the teaching that you have been receiving and exposing yourself to it?

Who is an antichrist? II. THE ONE THAT DENIES THE INCARNATION OF CHRIST IS AN ANTICHRIST “For many

deceivers [heretics, posing as Christians] have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge and confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh (bodily form). This [person, the kind who does this] is the deceiver and the [a]antichrist [that is, the antagonist of Christ].”

1- Because by denying the Incarnation of The Christ, they want to deceive man, wanting, in an illusory way, to make ineffective: The expiation of Jesus Christ for mankind “Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,” -Heb. 2:14

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”-Jn. 1:29 2-Because by denying the Incarnation of Christ, they want to deceive man, wanting, in an illusory way, to make ineffective: The Redemption (The Ransom) of man through the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ shed on the Cross of Calvary “ For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body[a] and in your spirit, which are God’s”1 Cor. 6:20 3- Because by denying the Incarnation of Christ, they want to deceive man, wanting, in an illusory way, to make ineffective: The Supreme High Priesthood of Jesus Christ (as our Only and Sufficient: Lawyer, Intercessor, Mediator) “ For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.-Heb. 4:15 “For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;”-Heb. 7:26

B-PARTICIPATION TIME 1-Have you heard, due to the lack of knowledge, or false teachings, something that goes against the Incarnation of Christ? If so, today is the time to ask the Lord for forgiveness, and decide to never again expose yourself to them, because your eternal state is in danger if you keep exposing yourself to such false teachings of those antichrists. 2-Are we willing to consecrate ourserlves to The Lord, and decide that we will expose our lives, and the lives of our family and loved ones, to the Christ-centered and Biblical teachings, sharing them to all, because the times are bad? CONCLUSION: Remember: the Day of our Redemption is near. Let us watch. el Día de nuestra Redención se acerca. Velemos. Let us not expose ourselves by hearing the teachings of antichrists, but defend the Truth and preach it. The Lord is at the gates. Do not forget: 2 John 1:7 “For many deceivers [heretics, posing as Christians] have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge and confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh (bodily form). This [person, the kind who does this] is the deceiver and the [a]antichrist [that is, the antagonist of Christ].” Concluir orando juntos.

The message to the lady elect and her children…and to us (part 4)

Let us watch! So we won’t loose our Full Reward… TEXT: 2 Jn. 1:8-9 Introduction:

Which is the Full Reward? And, can we loose it? If so, how can we avoid loosing it? Look at what 2 Jn. 1:8-9 “Look to yourselves (take care) that you may not lose (throw away or destroy) all that we and you have labored for, but that you may [persevere until you] win and receive back a perfect reward [in full]. Anyone who runs on ahead [of God] and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ [who is not content with what He taught] does not have God; but he who continues to live in the doctrine (teaching) of Christ [does have God], he has both the Father and the Son.” [Amplified Classic Edition] Let us watch! So we won’t loose our Complete Award…

I.

ON GUARD SO WE WON’T LOOSE THE EFFORT OTHERS HAVE MADE TO LEAD US TO CHRIST JESUS “Look to yourselves (take care) that you may not lose (throw away or

destroy) all that we and you have labored for, but that you may [persevere until you] win and receive back a perfect reward [in full]” In the original greek: “that you may not lose (throw away or destroy) all that we and you have labored for,” means: "See that you do not lose the state of believers in" truth and love "that WE (as workers of God, 2 Corinthians 6: 1; 2 Timothy 2:15) were instruments to work or to produce in you.") Note: have labored for—this is how one of the oldest manuscripts says. In the original greek: “perfect reward” (full) significa: “The harvest. The full harvest.” "Half a reward for the saints there is none. Either all is lost or received in full; In full communion with God. " [Bengel. ( information taken from: Jamieson, R., Fausset, A. R., & Brown, D. (2002). Comentario exegético y explicativo de la Biblia - tomo

2: El Nuevo Testamento (p. 747). El Paso, TX: Casa Bautista de Publicaciones.)

A. SALVATION IS THE BIGGEST REWARD THAT MAN COULD EVER RECEIVE -MARK 8:36 B. THE EXHORTATION IS TO WATCH MY CONVICTIONS, CONTINUALLY, SO I WILL NOT GO ASTRAY FROM THE FAITH IN JESUS 1. This is to watch the treasure of salvation

In the original Greek, "the fruit of your labor" means: "See that you do not lose the state of believers in the" truth and love "that WE were the instruments to act o produce in you. " 2.It is a diligent action because we value salvation or the eternal reward

II. HOW CAN WE WATCH, AND GUARD OURSELVES FROM LOOSING OUR STATE OF BELIEVERS? “Look to yourselves (take care) that you may not lose (throw away or destroy) all that we and you have labored for, but that you may [persevere until you] win and receive back a perfect reward [in full]. Anyone who runs on ahead [of God] and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ [who is not content with what He taught] does not have God; but he who continues to live in the doctrine (teaching) of Christ [does have God], he has both the Father and the Son.” [Amplified Classic Edition]

A-The reality of some believers who have committed apostasy or turned away from Jesus by ceasing to believe in his death and resurrection as the only means of salvation In the original Greek: "Whoever goes astray," is: "every one that goes forth" literally means to go forward. Here the bad sense arises by the parallel clause: "... does not persevere in the doctrine of Christ". It speaks of an apostasy; A denial of faith in Christ, and withdrawal of faith in Him.

"... does not have God" -> tells us of his spiritual state of apostasy, because he lost his way, did not persevere in the doctrine, and therefore: he does not have God.

B- Practical ways of guarding our faith in Jesus:

1-Walking in the Truth: this implies walking in love “ I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it. -2 Jn. 1: 4-6

2- Walking in the Truth: this implies to the light in the midst of darkness ““You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” -Mt. 5: 14-16

3-Walking in the Truth: this implies to present defense of our faith in The Incarnated Christ, against the antichrists and their false teachings “

For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”-2Jn. 1:7

C. PARTICIPATION TIME 1. Are we watching, for ourselves, walking in the Truth, doing these 3 things, on a daily bases, so we won’t loose our state of believers? 2. Are we feeding ourselves with the Sound Doctrine, to avoid falling in the state of apostasy ( which is to deny the faith in Christ Jesus, having been redeemed with His Precious Blood)?

Let us watch! So we won’t loose our Full Reward…

III. WHAT IS OUR FULL REWARD? ““Look to yourselves (take care) that you may not lose (throw away or destroy) all that we and you have labored for, but that you may [persevere until you] win and receive back a perfect reward [in full]. Anyone who runs on ahead [of God] and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ [who is not content with what He taught] does not have God; but he who continues to live in the doctrine (teaching) of Christ [does have God], he has both the Father and the Son.” [Amplified Classic Edition] In the original Greek, "full reward" means: "The harvest. The full reward " "Half a reward for the saints there is none. Either all is lost or received in full; In full communion with God." [Bengel.]

information taken from: Jamieson, R., Fausset, A. R., & Brown, D. (2002). Comentario exegético y explicativo de la Biblia - tomo El Nuevo Testamento (p. 747). El Paso, TX: Casa Bautista de Publicaciones.

2:

A. IS THE FULLNESS OF OUR SALVATION “Look to yourselves (take care) that you may not lose

(throw away or destroy) all that we and you have labored for, but that you may [persevere until you] win and receive back a perfect reward [in full].

1. The Fullness of Our Salvation (or Complete Reward) will occur on the Day of Our Redemption (in the First Resurrection or the Rapture “ For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”-1 Tes. 4:15-17 “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”-1 Cor. 15:52-53

2- The Fullness of Our Salvation (or Complete Reward) is for those of us that would have finished the race of faith (with faithfulness) “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.-2 Tim. 4:6-8

B- PARTICIPATION TIME: 1-Are we watching as we await The Fullness of our Salvation (our Full Award, on the Day of our Redemption? 2- Does your soul long, that Blessed Day? CONCLUSION: That at the end, may we be able to say like Paul: “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.-2 Tim. 4:6-8 Therefore, let us watch for ourselves, and let us never stray from the doctrine of Christ Jesus. Times are dangerous. Let's be careful never to expose ourselves to doctrines of demons that speak evil of the Lord and the Holy Spirit, because then we will be endangering our Complete Award. Let us conclude by praying together.

The message to the lady elect and her children…and to us (part 5)

Beware of supporting someone who promotes bad doctrine TEXT: 2 Jn. 1:10-13 Introduction:

It goes without saying how The Word guides us for every aspect of our lives, including, even in the smallest detail, as it is, who do we receive at home. In order to know more about this matter, read with me a little of the context of this passage: “The salutation here forbidden for the case indicated is the custom used among the Christian brothers of that time: not a mere formality, but a sign of Christian fraternity. 11. By saying "welcome," or "go with God," to such a false brother or doctor, you mean that he is capable of receiving blessing or joy (the literal meaning of Greek), and that you desire it for him, while That he is opposing Christ; So you identify with him in "his evil deeds." We can not communicate, that is, have fellowship with the saints and the Antichrist at the same time. Here we see the naturally fervent zeal of John, directed towards a just end” (Information take from: Jamieson, R., Fausset, A. R., & Brown, D. (2002). Comentario exegético y explicativo de la Biblia - tomo 2: El Nuevo Testamento (pp. 747–748). El Paso, TX: Casa Bautista de Publicaciones.

In the culture of the time of the Apostle John, to say to someone welcome, was more than a courtesy, was to support, support or agree with the ideas of that person, for that reason the Holy Spirit through John exhorts the Christian in no Give their vote of confidence through their friendship and support, because it is to despise Jesus for a doctrine of demons. Now, having this context in mind, look at what 2 Jn. 1:10-13 “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. Having many things to write to you, I did not wish to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, that our joy may be full. The children of your elect sister greet you. Amen.” Beware of whom do we receive at home! I- WE ARE BEEN PROHIBITED TO HAVE COMUNION WITH THE ONE THAT PROMOTES A FALSE DOCTRINE WITH FOREKNOWLEDGE “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. “

A. BECAUSE WE CANNOT HAVE COMUNION WITH A PERSON THAT GOES AGAINST CHRIST OUR LORD “ If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;”-2Jn. 1:10 “For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?-2Cor. 6:14b

1- Because to give the vote of confidence with the friendship is to participate or to identify us with its antichrist doctrine. By saying "welcome," or "go with God," to such a false brother or doctor, you mean that he is capable of receiving blessing or joy (the literal meaning of Greek), and that you desire it for him, Is opposing Christ; So you identify with him in "his evil deeds." We can not communicate, that is, have fellowship with the saints and the Antichrist at the same time. “

2-Because we can not have fellowship with that person who opposes Christ, being thus, an antichrist “For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”-2Jn. 1:7 “and every spirit that does not confess that[a] Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the

world.”-1Jn. 4:3 “For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?-2Cor. 6:14b

2- Because we can not allow the lie or heresy to be introduced to distort The truth and lead others to eternal condemnation. “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.”-2Pe 2:1 ““For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?-2Cor. 6:14b -2Cor. 6:14b

B-PARTICIPATION TIME 1-Have we been giving our support through our friendship by welcoming them to our home, with the purpose of having communion, knowing that they are persons that promote doctrines against The Lord Jesus? 2-If so, are you willing to repent, ask The Lord for forgiveness, and depart from that wrong doing?

3- Are you willing to start praying for these persons theta have false doctrine, so that The Lord will give them time so that they will repent from their wrong doing, and their souls will be saved? Beware of whom do we receive at home! II. WHAT WE CAN DO WITH THOSE WHO HAVE BAD DOCTRINE “This testimony is true.

Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth.”-Tito 1:13-14

A. REBUKE THEM (OUTSIDE OF OUR HOME) WITH THE PURPOSE THAT THEY WILL BE HEALTHY IN THE FAITH “This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth.”-Tito 1:13-14

1.Showing them their mistakes or rebuke them in a precise way at the Light of The Word In the original Greek, "rebuke" means: "Convince, show the fault, make manifest, condemn, Reproach, rebuke “ In the original Greek: "hard" means: "Precisely, absolutely, dryly” “For the commandment is a lamp,And the law a light;Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,,”-Prov. 6:23

2. Putting into the light of the Word the sin they are committing “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.”-2Pe 2:1 “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,;”-1Tim. 4:1

3. Reproving their sinful attitude if they decide to continue deliberately in it “And whoever[a] will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them.[b] Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”So they went out and preached that people should repent..”-Mrk. 6:11-12

B- REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS:

1-Are you willing to Biblically rebuke, those who have false doctrine, with the purpose that they will come to be healthy in the faith? 2-Will you commit to The Lord to fulfill these 3 steps above, outside of your home, with the finality that the souls will be saved? CONCLUSION: Remember the clear warning for us and in regards to whom we receive in our homes: “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. Having many things to write to you, I did not wish to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, that our joy may be full. The children of your elect sister greet you. Amen.”-2Jn. 1:10-11 Let us not have "familiar" fellowship with those who deliberately, knowingly, have and embrace, a false doctrine, antichrist; But let us precisely rebuke, as the Word says, so they can come to have a healthy faith. The time is short. Let us conclude praying together.

June 9, 2017- Day 5

The greatest joy of a teacher is that his disciples will be walking in the Sound Doctrine TEXT: 3 Jn. 1: 1-4 Introduction: Yesterday, we concluded our study of the 2 Epistle of John, and today, we begin our systematic study of the 3 Epistle of John. Therefore, let us see some interesting facts about the 3 Epistle John: “It is possible that in John 3 there is an allusion to 2 John, and if so, then both letters were written to individuals in the same church (one to one loyal woman, the other to a loyal man). There are three people accused mind outlined in 3 John (Gaius, Diotrephes, Demetrius). Gaius is the lay faithful in the church, Diotrephes is the dominant official, and Demetrius is the kindly messenger of Ephesus who carries the letter, a vivid image of the primitive life of the church, and the early missionary work.John is at Ephesus, the last of the apostles, and with his eagle gaze he contemplates the work in Asia Minor. The same Gnostic deceivers are at work as those seen in the other Epistles of John. Pergamum is described in Revelation 2:13 as the place "where the throne of satan is”(information taken from “Imágenes Verbales en el NT. Por Archibald Thomas Robertson)

Now, let us read leamos 3 John 1:1-4 “The Elder,To the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth:Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” The greatest joy a teacher of sound doctrine can have about his disciples ... I- THAT THE DISCIPLE WILL WALK IN THE TRUTH ALTHOUGH OTHERS WILL NOT “For I

rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”

A-HOW IT IS TO WALK IN THE TRUTH? ( HOW WE HAVE BEEN STUDYING IN THE FAMILY DEVOTIONALS THIS WEEK) “I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father.”-2John 1:4

1-Walking in the Truth: this implies love “I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it..” -2 Jn. 1: 4-6

In the original Greek, "as you walk in the truth" means "you, in contrast to Diotrephes and others like him”

2- Walking in the Truth: will take us to be light in the midst of darkness “ “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” -Mt. 5: 14-16

3-Walking in the Truth: will take us to present defense of our faith in The Incarnated Christ, against the antichrist and their false teachings “For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist..”-2Jn. 1:7

B- HEAR, CONTINUOS, THAT THE DISCIPLES ARE WALKING IN A CONTINUOS MANNER IN THE TRUTH “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”-3Jn. 1:4 1. His joy will be continuous when he learns that his disciples continue (they walk continually) in knowing Jehovah “Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth..” -Hos 6:3 2. His joy will be continuous when he learns that his disciples are continuing on the Way of Holiness “A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.”-Is. 35:8 C-PARTICIPATION TIME 1-Are we bringing superlative and continuous joy, first, to the Teacher of teachers, for 2- Are we being an object of joy to our teachers of The Word, by remaining in the Sound Doctrine? 3- Are we willing to walk with a major level of commitment, with a careful way, in our pilgrimage towards our Heavenly Home? CONCLUSION: Let us remember then, the words and message of John to Gaius…and to us: The Elder,To the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth:Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” Let us watch then, and make sure that we are walking in The Truth, giving testimony of it, and bringing hoy to The Master Jesus Christ, and also, to those that instruct us in The Word and the Sound Doctrine. Let us conclude by praying together.
