INCREASING STUDENT LEARNING MOTIVATION AND ACHIEVEMENT THROUGH SIMULATION METHOD IN DIGITAL ELECTRONIC LESSONS SMK NEGERI 1 MONDOKAN SRAGEN Rahman Widodo NIM. 06518241018 ABSTRACT
The research aims to enhance motivation and learning achievement Digital Electronics of students XTKJ1 SMK Negeri 1 Mondokan using EWB simulation and to describe students' motivation. The study was conducted on students' classroom XTKJ1 SMK Negeri 1 Mondokan academic year 2010/2011 with the number of 38 students. The research is classroom action research conducted collaboratively between teachers and researchers. Actions carried out for 3 cycles. Cycle I consisted of 3 meeting, cycle II consists of 3 meeting , and cycles III consisted of 2 meetings. In cycle I, II, and III students were given two tests of pretest and posttest. Instruments used in this study include the observation sheet, motivation questionnaire, and tests. Data collection techniques were done by observation, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis percentage. Results showed that after execution of action in the classroom during the learning process from cycle I to cycle III can increase student motivation and learning achievement XTKJ1 class SMK Negeri 1 Mondokan, this is indicated by: 1 increased motivation to study with a mean value average 68,55 of cycle I, 76,34 of cycle II, and 86,79 of cycles III. (2) increase student achievement with value exhaustiveness learned to 42.1% of cycle I; 86.8% of cycle II and 100% cycle III.
