Next, add YouTube by installing the YouTube app. This app can be installed from the tools menu inside of Hootsuite.
Simply scroll through the apps and find the YouTube app, then click “install.”
Finally, when pressing “Connect with YouTube,” sign in to the associated YouTube/Google to authorize the Hootsuite app.

he competition for social search has been heating up between Google and Bing. Google has implemented Search, plus Your World, whereas Bing recently launched its Social Sidebar. While the two giant search engines continue to battle, a new startup has entered the scene that allows users to experience social searching of sites, like Facebook, Twitter and Google+, in a unique and fun way. Enter Wajam. This new social sourcing app allows users to search directly from its interface at www.wajam.com, or by installing the social search extension in a browser. Wajam can be used to search Google, Bing, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, Blekko, Amazon, Yelp, Trip Advisor, IMDb, Wikipedia, eBay, Overstock, Ask, Best Buy, Shopping.com, Mahalo, and even Walmart. While searching, Wajam retrieves a personalized social layer of friends’ comments, likes and recommendations on terms matching a query. Unlike Google or Bing that simply crawl social site data, Wajam excels by asking users for permission to access their social feeds. Facebook does not allow Google to use its data in search results, and Twitter no longer powers Google’s former real-time search. Bing does have partnerships with Facebook and Twitter; however its results aren’t personalized just yet and Wajam will provide instant results that match your query.

When users conduct a search in Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter or Blekko, Wajam creates its own index of everything your friends share on Google+, Facebook and Twitter. It searches friends’ real-time status updates, as well as the sites they have shared. It then applies its own algorithm to rank these updates and sites depending on your search query. Users will also see information about who shared the item, any comments made about it and other friends that also shared that piece of content. Wajam allows users to leverage multiple browsers including Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer.

Wajam continued When clicking on a Wajam result, notice the Wajam toolbar at the top of the web page. The toolbar shows who shared the content and what they said about it. To share a Wajam search result, click on the Facebook, Twitter or Google+ icon. The link will automatically be shortened to a Wajam link. To share the link by email, click on the Facebook or Twitter icon, and then click on Email. You can also copy the short URL by clicking it.
