______________________________________________________ Brian Redman Brian Redman’s Grand Prix career began in 1968 with Cooper Car Company. He participated in 15 World Championship Grands Prix, including his most successful season driving for McLaren in 1972. During his time in Formula 1 he garnered a podium finish at the 1968 Spanish Grand Prix. He achieved great success in sports car racing as a Porsche works driver, winning the 1970 Targa Florio and the 12 Hours of Sebring twice. He also raced for Ferrari in 1973, winning the Nürburgring 1000 km race alongside Jacky Ickx. After moving to the United States, he won the SCCA/USAC Formula 5000 Championship three times in a row before retiring at the age of 52 at the end of the 1989 season.

Chris Amon New Zealander Chris Amon is widely regarded as one of the best Formula 1 drivers of his period, winning eight Grand Prix. In 1966, at age 23, he and Bruce McLaren drove for Shelby American in a Ford GT40 Mk II at Le Mans and Amon led the GT40s across the line for the famous 1-2-3 finish. Enzo Ferrari invited him to drive for Ferrari the following year, and the team won both the Daytona 24 Hours and the Monza 1000 km races. Following the tragic demise of his Ferrari teammate Lorenzo Bandini at the Monaco Grand Prix, Amon finished the year 5th in the Grand Prix World Championship. The same year he drove a Ferrari 330 P4 in the World Sportscar Championship, clinching the title over Porsche by two points.

The Racing Legacy of the Ford GT40

______________________________________________________ ken gross, moderator An automotive writer for 43 years, Ken Gross has received the Washington Auto Press Golden Quill Award, the Society of Automotive Historians’ Cugnot Award and the James Valentine Memorial Award for excellence in automotive historical research. Dan Gurney Dan Gurney raced for Grand Prix teams including Ferrari, BRM, Porsche, Brabham and his own team, All American Racers, driving the famous EagleWeslake. Dan was the first driver to win in all four major motorsport categories: Grand Prix, IndyCar, NASCAR and Sports Cars. He made history in 1967 after racing in the Indianapolis 500 on May 30, then five days later racing in the Dutch Grand Prix and seven days later winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Seven days after that he won the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa! jacky ickx During a career that spanned four decades, Belgian driver Jacky Ickx ruled sports car racing throughout the 1970s and ‘80s. In Formula 1 he achieved 25 podium finishes in the 1970s and was twice runner-up in the World Championship. His other titles include six-time Le Mans winner, five-time Spa 1000 km winner, and he is a multiple sports car World Endurance Champion, European Formula 2 Champion and, impressively, the Paris-Dakar Rally victor in 1983.

David Hobbs Between 1962 and 1989, David Hobbs raced at Le Mans 20 times, often winning his class and finishing 3rd in a GT40 in 1969, the year that Ford GT40s won the World Sportscar Championship. He went on to claim 22 victories in Formula 5000, earned 11 wins in IMSA and won the 1983 SCCA Trans-Am Championship. He currently commentates for NBC and the NBC Sports Network and found stardom in the Cars 2 movie as a 1963 Jaguar E-type race announcer dubbed “David Hobbscap.”

He is a recipient of the prestigious MPG Dean Batchelor Best of the Year Award. In addition, Ed has also been the recipient of numerous International Automotive Media Awards. Bobby Rahal Ohio born, Rahal is an American auto racing driver and team owner. As a driver, he won 24 races and 3 championships in the CART open-wheel series, including the 1986 Indianapolis 500. He also won the 2004 Indianapolis 500 as a team owner for the winning driver, Buddy Rice. After retiring as a driver, Rahal held managerial positions with the Jaguar Formula 1 team and also was an interim president of the CART series. Rahal also raced sports cars during the 1980s, and made one NASCAR start for the Wood Brothers. Danny Sullivan Danny is a former American race car driver. He earned 17 wins in the CART IndyCar World Series, including the 1985 Indianapolis 500. He was series champion in 1988, third in 1986, fourth in 1984 and 1985, sixth in 1990 and seventh in 1989 and 1992.

Wayne Carini, Moderator Wayne Carini is the host of Chasing Classic Cars on the Velocity channel, currently in its ninth season, and the proprietor of F40 Motorsports sales and restoration services. He is a noted collector and a recognized collector car authority.

Jochen Mass Jochen Mass is a racing great with numerous successes to his credit. As a Formula 1 racer from 1973 to 1982, he drove for Surtees, McLaren, ATS and Arrow, among others. Before and after his Formula 1 career, he scored many wins in sports cars, most often driving Porsche or Mercedes-Benz sports prototypes.

McKeel Hagerty McKeel Hagerty is the President and CEO of Hagerty Insurance, a company that offers auto insurance as well as services designed for the classic car collector. His love for cars began at an early age and inspired him to join the family business in 1995. Under his leadership, Hagerty Insurance is one of the most recognizable brands in classic car insurance and an industry leader.

Sir stirling Moss Sir Stirling Moss was British Champion for 10 years and still holds the 1,500-cc record at over 240 mph. He won over 200 international Formula 1, 2, 3 and sports car races, including the Mille Miglia, the Targa Florio, and the Tourist Trophy seven times.
