1.CHALLENGEANDOBJECTIVES TheSpanishlawofprotectionofdatadoesnotallowdisaggregatingsocioeconomicdata, limitingthestudiestothescalelevelofadministrativeentities. Inthecaseoftourism ͲaveryimportantsectorinAndalusia(SofSpain)wherea remarkabledevelopmentoftourismhavebeenexperiencedinthelastdecadesͲ the municipalityisthemaximumdisaggregationentity forthistypeofdata.Moreover, unregulatedspaces(holidayhomes)havenotevenbeencalculated norestimated. Thislimitationinvolvesanimportantdisadvantageinmostofthetourismanalysis,and especiallyinthoseworksdealingwithhighdetailedscales(Beachattendance,Carrying Capacity,SeaLevelRise,… amongothers)

Atthemomentgeographyoftourismhas beengenerallylimitedbythisstatistical restriction.Themunicipalitythemaximum disaggregationentitytoadviceconsiderations onspatializationoftourismactivities.

DISCUSSION Other authors: Potential population overͲestimates official population in130%. This figureis supported byothers studies where,using various methods, residential capacity often doubles census population (Navarro,2005;Geoconyka,2008). Facts: Ͳ Ͳ Ͳ
