SUMMARY The Technical Sales Engineer shall be responsible for: Closing business, taking ownership in driving projects to a close through the Dytran sales process. Support the Southern California territory, exceeding the sales plan through sales support. Conduit for building positive customer relationships to support customer and company objectives and goals. Work as the Dytran project manager for aerospace programs, support local California aerospace customers through project tracking and customer visits.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Take ownership to drive projects to achieve sales objectives in assigned territory, identifying customers and projects and supporting customer and internal operational activity to achieve sales growth targets 2. Manage customer expectation relating to product quality, performance and delivery: a. Coordinate with Internal Team Members through whatever means to assure product quality, performance and delivery schedules to meet customer expectations b. Attend production meetings with Internal Team Members in order to track order status c. Hold all Internal Team Members accountable for results d. Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and technical aspects, follow up and close business. 3. Manage all Southern California customer programs for the sales team – working with engineering, planning, quality, production to drive the programs from infancy through production releases 4. Create Project Milestones in order to monitor critical time lines necessary to assure orders are on track to meet customer expectations. Follow through with Engineering, Planning, Quality and Production 5. Support all Southern California accounts for penetration efforts – through proactive phone and E mail activity – that leads to customer visits – and creation of opportunities to close business and create new opportunities 6. Primary contact in managing customer communication regarding product, technical, delivery, quality and manufacturing issues; always maintaining Dytran’s credibility with the customer 7. Use the Dytran sales process to drive sales projects and recommend appropriate Dytran products to fit the customer application 8. Prepare application notes, competitive analysis and sales tools to support the sales team 9. Review government and customer contracts and purchase orders – for terms and conditions

Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related area. At least two years in technical sales industry (preferably electronics). Product knowledge Professional Salesmanship skills including relationship building abilities in order to understand and meet the needs of our customers. 5.
