ICT projects in SSA – bridging the Digital Divide? ICT projects are acknowledged to contribute to development. Still, many projects fail and are not sustainable in the long term. Some reasons for failure are:  

Neglection of end-user‘s capabilities

Neglection of cultural patterns

Technology-focused, top-down approach
