Office hours: M 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM or by appointment Course Objectives: The primary objective of this course is to provide the student with a statistical framework for dealing with uncertainty. The student will learn to use this framework to produce reliable statistical inferences from samples of data. The student will also learn to use software tools for the analysis and visualization of both qualitative and quantitative data. Textbook: Michael Sullivan, Fundamentals of Statistics, Third Edition Software: Homework assignments will generally require the use of a computer equipped with Minitab analysis software. You can buy a copy of the software from the GMU computer store (http://compstore.gmu.edu/products/minitab/) located in room 115 of the Johnson Center.
