Teachers and support staff in high risk schools that need to be trained by priority. Visit SIP Math Site in Neighboring County. Provide two Math Foundations 5-day workshops (one in fall and one in spring) with state level trainer. Recruit trainers. Attend NCSIP II Spring 2011 Spring Network Meeting. Gather and share data on math performance for students with disabilities. Observe math instruction in a sampling of classrooms. Begin use of AIMS WEB in a sampling of classrooms. Require accurate baseline information in present levels of performance and progress monitoring and of students underperforming in mathematics. Year Two (2011-2012) Identify next round of teachers that can benefit students by receiving training. Continue to collaborate with western region counties that may be of support in developing trainers. Purchase materials for k-5, middle school resource classrooms in targeted schools. Monitor progress on 5-year plan. Continue to expand training for EC staff, Gen. Ed. Teachers and support staff that can impact math instruction.
