Steve Hyland MidKent College 01634 383 155 [email protected] Colleges work together to back local business New partnership revealed at Kent’s biggest business-to-business expo Skills Hub Kent and Medway is an innovative partnership between two of Kent’s largest and most successful colleges, MidKent College and North Kent College. Launching today at the Kent Vision conference in Detling, the colleges are combining their significant experience in designing and delivering training and education to provide a new, improved service to local employers. The new alliance will offer businesses an increased range of staff development options through a suite of short skills-based courses, bespoke training interventions, and a full-service package to recruit and train apprentices. Chris Hare, MidKent College Director of Enterprise and Employer Engagement, said: "We want to help businesses grow. Through listening to our partners in organisations from a range of sectors, and working closely with Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, it's clear that one of the ways we can support that growth is to develop the local workforce. This new and exciting partnership between MidKent College and North Kent College builds upon the excellent work of both colleges to ensure that employees have the skills, knowledge, and qualifications to add real value to their employers. By working together through Skills Hub Kent and Medway we'll enhance the range of support available across an expanded number of venues, and deliver the responsive, agile and flexible service that Kent and Medway's businesses deserve." Skills Hub Kent and Medway is a partnership between MidKent College and North Kent College to service the training and development needs of businesses across North Kent and Medway. In addition to delivering training in the workplace, courses will be hosted at state-of-the-art college campuses in Dartford, Gravesend, Medway and Maidstone.
